I like this idea. Might be better than the Space map.

with reppin the 306 i like the whole Puget Sound but I think the Seattle one would be better.

luckiekevin has the right idea with the Burroughs. Something like that with the look of the "Seattle Neighborhood Map" would perfict.

Also, is anyone actually trying to make this? Or are we all just hoping that someone that knows how to make maps will become interested?

The only reason i dont like the idea is because now everyones gonna want to make a map of their own state and theyre going to become very repetitive, but i like the actual maps.

Lost Map

Post by Kugelblitz22 »

Luns, in his infinite wisdom has suggested a Lost map modeled after the hit TV show Lost. What does everyone think of the idea? It was Luns idea but I would be willing to help anyone who has map making skills or learn myself if someone of greater map making stature isn't interested. I don't have a picture of the Island in the show but those who are familiar with the show can vote...

Sorry Luns but I got excited by your idea for a Lost map. Feel free to take over as you wish. :D

If they give you rights (which they probably won't), then go for it.

This will probably never get off the ground this site is too big to fly under the radar. But a Lost map is still a sweet idea...

Would be cool, the stations could provide different bonuses.

That's why I voted for you to not hijack it...

I seriously would love for someone to create it. I'm just hoping that all the different hatches or stations would be included. The Swan, The Pearl, The Hydra...and so on. I was also thinking that Sawyer's Stash/Tent could be worth +1 bonus for holding it (much like holding Downtown is worth +1 on the Montreal map). Perhaps the "infected" area that is always referred to in the show could be worth -1 army. Rousseau's radio tower station would need to be included as well.

It seems that the "Others" couldn't go get Sawyer, Kate, Jack, and Hurley without Michael's help (at the end of Season #2). Maybe that could be accounted for as a one-way attack when the map is produced.

Totally just brainstorming, guys!

Why don't you just do a map of Hawaii?
It is where LOST is filmed, right?

I believe it means, call your map Found instead of Lost, change a few names around, and put some text parodying the Lost storyline, so you don't need permission (fair use, satire, etc etc.)

I don't think this is an option, given that the map's main appeal is that it's based on Lost.

Oh well. I dread lost, so, no opinion from me.

Well I'm gung ho on this thing but before I do anything I want to make sure it is okay legally. I don't want to bring any heat down on CC just for a map. Doesn't CC have a copyright lawyer who can give me some parameters here?

I would die for this map. Problem is, locating all the territories will be very hard.

Lost map idea

Post by luns101 »

...and new people join CC and bring more perspective to the idea now, a lot of people from various age groups enjoy the show, and would probably enjoy a map based on the show as well.

I like the idea of calling it FOUND to avoid any legalities.

The idea is good, but all of those maps are very dated. They all seem to date from after season 2 and include none of the new info/locations from season 3. And we did learn a lot more!

Jacob....the Looking Glass...the radio tower....Mikail's house (yeah I don't know how to spell it)....the path of the sonic fence, etc etc. It would be interesting to see how they all fit into these visual representations.

I'd prefer to see a Lost map after the series is finished so the map would actually be complete. Otherwise we'll just have to revamp it every 12 months.
