And thug is in there at least 2 times qwert. Here are the times it is used. Bolded for clarity.
And in a city where the mayor has allegedly kept a band of thugs on the off-the-books payrolls, at least some of the aggression between rival groups appears more linked to local politics than international intrigue.
The mayor himself was hauled in for questioning in Kiev on Thursday and later placed under house arrest over allegations of maintaining a staff of paid thugs, carrying out state-sponsored torture and embezzling public funds.
Thank you! Silliest argument I've had here for a long time.

I think Qwert's point was that "thug" (in the article) wasn't referring to what Symmetry claimed, but rather a group of apolitical football hooligans. When this point was brought up to Symmetry he yelled "I MEANT TO DO THAT!" and then ran away.

My point was that the news organisations qwert claimed to have never used the word "thugs" have all used the word "thugs" to describe the people who stormed a government building and declared it to now be Russian.
The cat picture is kind of cute though.

That wasn't your point when you started. In other words, you seem to be saying ...
I'm not buying it. SORZ

now i see this, still left to find this sentence:
"It is unsafe to be pro-Ukrainian in Crimea right now, as the region is controlled by Russian military and hired thugs".

nope,i dont find this, im only find that they declare independence from thugs who storm government buildings in Kiev .
if only EU backed 21 February agreement, things could be much better.

lol, so where you find that i claimed that news organisation never use word thugs just because in one news with tittle "Donetsk declare independent from Ukraine" you make some silly statement . And i think that not all newsletters(like Al JAzzera,New york time-Washington post-CNN, and even BBC) in every article use thugs constantly.
Qwert wrote:believe me or not (its up to you) i read Washington post-The new york times-CNN-Al JAzzera. I dont read Russian news. And i dont see in any of this news that someone call hem tugs.
So I gave you examples of all of the news organisations using the word. And then you spent a hell of a lot of time pretending that one of the articles never mentioned it.
Admittedly, none of them called them "tugs".

Oh dear, I seem to have found you saying precisely that:

Qwert bested you. Everyone agrees. The phrase you quoted - when taken in context - didn't mean what you'd proffered and was referring to football fans. And you're going to double down? Better to make an orderly retreat Symm, than turn this into your Isandlwana.

At this point, after several pages of trying to get Qwert to acknowledge that a word exists, I'm gonna have to retire from exhaustion to be honest. There's a really nice wall that I saw on my way home. I think I'll bang my head against it as an alternative.
Qwert wins, nobody pointed out that they're thugs.

I don't agree, and therefore "everyone agrees" is, at the very least, not literally true. It's probably not even close to true. I'm sure there are dozens of people who don't agree and haven't bothered to post.
And this definitely isn't a case of bias. I genuinely like Qwert, and I genuinely despise Symmetry, so if there was any bias here it would be in the opposite direction. But in this particular case I have to honestly say that Qwert is wrong and Sym is right. Sym's rendition of the article was a reasonably accurate paraphrase, and Qwert is playing word games to score a point that doesn't exist.

Well I'm sure there are hundreds of people who do agree and haven't posted. You lose. Qwert wins.

The second one sounds tough. Waking people up is easy. Why do you despise me?

What is your point? This is called a debate. The squash man (Robertson) is entitled to his opinion and to express its freely, even if it is narrow and misinformed. The fishy brothers (Salmon-Sturgeon) are entitle to call him a scaremongering twat in return.
