About to start playing Tales of the Drunken Paladin, an old school RPG that promises loads of humor, along with a decent game to boot. Seems like it will be fun.

I switched from Madden 14 to WWE 13 again. Still playing Baldur's Gate as well.
I keep rage quiting NCAA 14. There are are a few minor improvements over the last few, but otherwise is almost the same thing. Trying to play Road to Glory on defense is ridiculous, especially as a d-linemen, because you can have a 99 block shedding and such, but can't get off of a really badly rated o-linemen.
But now, there really is no more hope for the NCAA football franchise as it is now discontinued due to the whole players going after EA for using their likeness without their permission. Could have been massively improved on the new consoles, but unless some other company can get the rights, NCAA football is now dead, along with NCAA Basketball.

It you wanted to buy Sim City, but were discouraged by the $50.00 tag or the always online (for now) component, or the small map size? Check out Banished. Different take on everything, but I've been watching some Lets Plays and looks pretty fun and zenlike. Quill18 had a bunch of pre-release lets plays up: http://www.youtube.com/user/quill18/videos
The game just came out today -- $19.99 on Steam. Or you can purchase directly from the developer and get a DRM-free copy + a Steam Key, which is what I did: http://www.shiningrocksoftware.com/game/
I'm digging it.

For those who care, I'm going to semi-regularly post some screenshots of progress in the Longest Thread, Thread, of a game I have going.

You know, you could always try being a Let's Player. Maybe on the side, as several LPers do have regular jobs and do LPs as a side thing.
Still playing minecraft. And occassionaly dip into Skyrim (more of roleplay sort of thing). Minecraft on PC has a ton of cool things and consistant updates, but Xbox 360 version will craft the things for you (provided you have the needed materials) and the controller is far more comfortable then the mouse and keyboard of the PC. If the 360 version gets hoppers, redstone blocks, anvils, enchanted books, and villager trades (maybe throw in ender chests, wither skeletons, withers, and beacons), I would be VERY happy with Minecraft 360.
Seriously, redstone blocks were probably one of the best additions to minecraft because redstone can quickly overfill your inventory while strip mining. With the redstone blocks, you can carry 9 times more.
However, for mods on the PC version, I can never get them to work. Probably because the PC is so old (can't have distance above 8 chunks or the lag gets BAD). Would have loved to try Pixelmon, but the Mindcrackers are taking care of that, mainly VintageBeef and PaulSoaresJr (who created the first ever minecraft youtube video).

Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden
After killing millions of people with a Chaos Dunk, Charles Barkley and all b-ballers were prohibited from playing b-ball. In the year 2055, in Neo New York the course of history will change yet again...
This game is a SNES style Final Fantasy-esque RPG. I dig it. It's nice to have a game that I can play in small doses (<30 minute per day).
They've got about $120,000 crowdsourced for the sequel too.

Downloaded it, played the tutorials, started a new game, quit after 5 minutes. I wasn't really sure what the point was.

I give it an A+ from the plot summary alone.

Humble Bundle Weekly Sale. Played Alpha Protocol, not extremely hard, but still fun. Also some of the others I've heard really good things about (total War series). Still considering donating for the pack

Total War series is pretty good. You can avoid Empires and Napoleon, but the rest are very good.

They launched an update to now allow you to play offline single player. But the city maps still feel pretty small. I think the game discounted on their 1 year anniversary today to like 20 Bucks on Origin.

If Andy stopped buying games at steam, their yearly revenue would go down with 15%. I've checked the numbers, it's no joke.

My wishlist does have a good 25 items on it. I'll end up buying some soon probably. But I've got back into Europa Universalis 4, playing in regions I haven't yet.

With Dragon Age Inquisition getting set, I've been getting back into that series. After playing Skyrim for awhile, its taking awhile getting used to the controls again. It has a good story and setting, but the combat is still pretty clunky. And silent protagonists have always been a bit of a pet peeve of mine. But still otherwise a very good game.

I was not a big fan of the gameplay in the Dragon Age Origins. I guess it was too arcade-like for me.

DA2 was a bit better, combat wasn't so clunky, but DA2 had other problems.
Dragon Age Inquisition, if you've seen any of the trailers for it, looks fantastic. It's supposed to have a very open world like Skyrim, but set in the Dragon Age universe.

Dominions 4 and Conquest Of Elysium 3 are both good, on Steam. in depth strategy but not much graphically. IE possibly some of the worst graphics ever.

I've played a lot of strategy war games but I'm looking for something different this time. I used to play sim city way back and I'd like to play something a bit similar. Did a little search now and found a game called Tropico 4, anyone know if it's good?

I've heard good things about Tropico, but I've never played the series.
