Mets is acting scummy but I can easily see him just acting like a dick because he's annoyed at this update from a player perspective.

Seems a bit unfair to keep my vote on you after seeing the disadvantage you were under, sooo Unvote.

I don't usually re-read Day 1 until after Night 1 usually but I might have to in this case with mandy's new info. Should be a few players (barring myself of course) making accidental trainer reveals. Hell I might need to draw up a pad of notes for this game judging by how it's gone so far. That'll be a first.

I understand that yer annoyed about mandy's intervention (pretty unprecedented if my memory is to be believed. Even Fircoal hasn't done this, and he's done pretty much everything), but that's no reason to quit.

strike wolf wrote:So first off Unvote Kwanton. So there is one thing that Mandy's post suggests, that people who don't know about wild pokemon win cons are most likely town trainers. So Masket. You are now towards the top of my town list. Tal conveniently ignores this.

It also makes this game a bit more difficult as all those who were semi-cleared based on knowing role info are now back in the mix. In fact, at least one was likely lying to preemptively clear themselves.

Trust good ol' MM to question a point that seems to validate myself, but it needs to be said. That isn't what mandy's post said at all.

He's saying that ALL players know about wild Pokemon win conditions.

You didn't have to say it. Exile had not yet confirmed he knew that. And that info was not in the win condition section so it is possible it wasn't in what Mandy sent him.

So Mets is actually protecting mitch. Defending or however you want.

Why I find this interesting... because I'll claim a wild pokemon as well. But with a little difference... I'm already taken. I know which Pokemon I am, and I know who taken me as a starting pokemon. So I will do whatever my trainer decides and I can't do anything about it.

So you're not a wild Pokemon, just a Pokemon.

As I'm on my phone I'm not going to trawl back like 10 pages, but who was it that suggested we try and pair up players to try and figure out who is scum? I know who said we shouldn't bother (Skoffin) but can't remember who suggested it.

I had assumed that it was badly worded by Mandy to mean that everyone whow needed the win con received it as he goes on to specifically mention it being in mafia pms. Obviously as a claimed trainer you are saying you and other trainers had access to pokemon win cons.

So who recruited dakky...

Reread through page 10. So far willing to say that Buj is town.

Well a lot happened since I was here last. And apparently a lot more drama. Just a suggestion but we can all tone it down a bit. We're all trying to find Team Rocket here. We have a common goal. Sure we may to find those members and lynch them but that doesn't mean they're any less loved irl.

Anyway I find the whole Met's wagon a bit weird imo. It feels like Mets is getting annoyed in a way that seems suicidal if scum. If you were scum woudl you really want be on the record yelling, "STOP MAKING IT EASIER FOR TOWN!" Exactly. I think he is genuinely upset with how the game is being handled. I don't think that's necessarily a scum thing. Some people really value fair play. I don't know too much about Mets so I can't make this call from any authority but I do feel like people are being a bit jumpy when they throw their votes onto him. AD, aage, Serbia - what makes you so sure that mets is scum?

So the case on wing is partly based on this quote?
TELL ME PLEASE HOW THAT MEANS HE HAS NO INTEREST IN SCUMHUNTING???? How about YOU read it again. He just doesn't want people to rely on him for it, and look towards him like he has some sort of crystal ball. If you think I'm wrong then please attach a phone number of an english teacher with your post so that I can improve my comprehension.

and I'm the one getting accused of skimming.

Ummm I think you need to reread that post. Because he states that he has limited incentive for him to scumhunt strongly. He doesn't say that he doesn't want people to rely on him. Those are words that you feed into him. Stop trying to protect him from something that's not there.

Yes which is why I FOS'd you instead of voting you. I am well aware that you can be clueless regardless of role. That was my point. Maybe I didn't state it the best way but I did account for it.

Minister Masket wrote:So my question now is if Wing's list and this reasoning is accurate, why has he only named 5 or 6 players? Where are the other dozen?
Role power limitation, or something more suspicious? Hmm.

Because he doesn't know the other dozen? Look I don't agree with the absolutes Wing is doing but it is BS to try to case suspicion on him for that. How is he supposed to know who all the wild Pokemon are? It seems like you're trying to make a case to divert attention from yourself which is scummy.

The case on Mets is very weak. There are numerous reasons why someone would be upset by Mandy's posts. Most of them are actually indicative of a town or wild pokemon alignment.

Mets if you have real life reasons to quit, do so, don't do it because a bunch of players were aggressive towards you. Maybe it's their personality, maybe it's their way of putting pressure to scumhunt.

Dakky's claim is very strange.

Serbia soft-claimed wild pokemon a few posts back, but all his votes have been on either tim, mitch, or MM. And now he jumps on Mets. It's not sitting right with me.

I don't think Mitch is the right lynch anymore, I'm going to go with Ragian's case & Unvote Vote Marashu.

I think we should all calm down and cease being dickbag and antagonising people out of the game, and the attitude towards mets in ridiculous. He, regardless of possible alignment, is justified in feeling put off by people playing the mod rather than the game. Whether you personally believe the mod revealed too much game info is beside the point - any mod unfairly favouring one team would be off-putting for any game and some people do not want to win or lose based on that, which is a fair feeling to have. I've won as mafia before because town handed me the game and it doesn't feel like victory at all. If mets believes the mod has unbalanced the game then it is fair for him to feel put off by that. Personally I would prefer mets to stay in the game rather than use up our replacement pool. If we are going to replace people based on "omg I don't like you" then half a dozen of you would be gone by now.

Anarkistsdream wrote:There are those of us who were trainer hunting from the beginning, me included... That is why I have not posted since Friday... Because these other arguments have been ridiculous until mets decided he should be a complete cunt.

So you are saying because no one was talking about what you wanted to talk about, instead of trying to force your input on in anyway, you decided to be weaksauce and just walk off for a few days? Is this what you plan to do throughout the game? Pls, don't be such a vagina.

As for Dakky -
to confirm - You started this game as a wild pokemon, and sometime during this Day 1 you have been caught by a trainer?

Well it would seem trainers are not limited to night activity in that case, and more wild pokemon will likely be nabbed soon. Good thing a whole bunch of people revealed themselves eh

Unvote. My vote on mets was completely OMGUS, a drunk rage vote, based on his request to be replaced. I hate when people quit, and I was voting for a quitter. He's since continued playing the game. Hopefully he just pulls up his big boy pants and moves on. And I apologize for contributing to the decline of the game.

You're going to go back and see that I voted for a bunch of people who have since claimed to be wild pokemon, and say that doesn't sit right with you? Please, for the love of The Town, point out the people who have only voted for scum, so I can be just like them and also vote for scum. It's Day 1 bro, virtually all of us will get a few votes wrong on Day 1.

Marashu has been non-existent. Because he's scum? Or because he's not really participating?

Fircoal wrote:AD, aage, Serbia - what makes you so sure that mets is scum?

It's a rare scenario where a policy lynch overlaps with a scum-aimed lynch.
In his earlier statement he said he wanted to play the players, not the mod. He has done nothing but play the mod since then. I think avoiding the actual game and only responding to outside interference makes you look alive even though you're not really playing.
As to his "I quit" shenanigans, you read the thread. If he seriously thinks this game is so unwinnable for him when Mandy interferes and confirms so little, he can't be town right?

Thirdly, this:
Metsfanmax wrote:Disagree. Tim has had exactly this type of tantrum before in other games and it's not alignment-indicative.

does not logically follow into a scum read on Tim. He says it's not alignment-indicative, and he is quite right. Doesn't make Tim scum, doesn't explain his vote.

I have nothing to do with the flame war between Mets, Nark and Serbia.

Fircoal is scum for deliberately misreading dakky. Dakky said he is someone's starter Pokemon, not a day 1 recruit. Mandy already said night actions will be resolved in the day. Masket can confirm how it works. It's great, if dakky flips town we kill masket. It's win/win at this point.
