Haha, well played. I was thinking this as I was read your previous post.
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one wary of losing this game to a sneaky cult. I think we stand a lot more to gain then lose by testing this out.

Skimtastic post there followed by bandwagonning. Not sure if you're cleared yet by someone but that post deserves a
FOS Mass Miracle at the very least. I'm of the opinion we take out target first, but if people want to test Victor now, then I won't complain.

Here is a giant list I've compiled showing those of you voting for me why you're either stupid or scum:
Victor Sullivan wrote:safariguy5 wrote:Did you try to recruit Com9 Night 1 then?
No, got tonkaed. I originally denied it due to the fact that I thought going public with it would essentially forfeit my being able to convince mafia to join the group. After he was modkilled, there became benefits to recruiting town (the additional investigations), so I told edocsil about it Night 2 then recruited him.

freezie wrote:I can confirm Lala did not lie about her cellar card. She told me that she had the chief as innocent before announcing to town.
And if Lala has no reasons to do that, what reason would I have to CLAIM MAFIA.
edocsil wrote:Look. Calling use a cult is like trying to compare apples and oranges.
Cult
Scum can usually not be recruited
Cult leader is the only one who can recruit
Recruitment is not optional
Mason

Joining techniques are varied, ours allows rapid expansion of forces with the known caveat of deniable recruitment
So how does it make sense to call us cult?
edocsil wrote:We have been over this before, VS is innocent, and that means he isn't cult. Lynching me only results in reducing the Masons to a single easily killed player.
safariguy5 wrote:My concern is that freezie's faction may be willing to accept the offer, but GT's faction may not. Let's lynch a scummier person now, and then see what the night results bring (successful recruitment or not, more info from freezie).
freezie wrote:And Rodion, Victor is INNOCENT. Lala had his card, she told me he was innocent and she had no reason to lie as we were on the same side. And I wouldn't be claiming mafia without beeing sure that Victor wasn't cult.
safariguy5 wrote:I think you're being overcautious here. With freezie accepting the deal, if Victor is cult, they're basically hamstrung at this point. It also guarantees against one of the factions killing off the potential town recruiting faction and taking their chances.
I'm sorry, but this is just ridiculous! The logic here can't possibly be disputed here, can it?

So lying to the town is ok as long as you save your own butt? That's scumtalk.freezie wrote:I can confirm Lala did not lie about her cellar card. She told me that she had the chief as innocent before announcing to town.

Wrong. How do we know freezie isn't just lying once he gets recruited?I'm sorry, but this is just ridiculous! The logic here can't possibly be disputed here, can it?

The logic can be disputed. Here's a question. If you are trying to recruit town, why choose edoc? Why not choose a confirmed townie? This question can be directed at your very first quote. Too much is not adding up here. I am not saying that you are lying, I am just saying that I can not let this day go without testing your claim.

edocsil and I were partners, so I could talk to him at night, Night 2. By Night 2, I had gotten my new set of perks, due to got tonkaed's PM quoting (as I mentioned earlier), so I decided to tell edoc the truth in hopes that he would agree to be recruited. It honestly didn't matter to me whether or not edoc was mafia or town, and I thought I could convince him either way.

So the mods decided to balance the loss of a mafia member by making the town members more powerful? So if you thought you could convince him either way, why say "there became benefits to recruiting town" when you clearly admit that it didn't matter who you recruited. This story really isn't adding up now. I will let it rest for tonight and let some others weigh in as well.

Before, I gained nothing from recruiting town other than being able to talk with them at night. With mafia recruitment, I could at least convert a mafia player to the town. After my new perks, my group gets an extra investigation for each player recruited no matter what, whether mafia or town. I said it didn't matter what alignment edoc was because 1. I could at least explain myself aside from a cheesy evangelist message that conveyed nearly zero information and 2. my group gets an extra investigation regardless of what the player's alignment was before recruitment, so it was a win win, no matter which alignment edoc was.

Doom, lying to town when you got a major pro-town power role to save your own butt is a good, if not needed, strategy.
And he IS trying to recruit non-town people..like me for instance.
Everyone voting victor are either misleaded, stupid or anti-town trying to win anti-town. Killing victor now will risk edoc's life tonight and evidently blow up a huge chance for town to win this.
If you're going to lynch Victor, wait till tomorow..Unless edoc or victor dies in the meantime confirming everyone voting him is even more wrong than....whatever is wronger than wrong.
Victor has been cleared, 4 times over once.

Eh oh, stop talking in my name. Victor is absolutly right, I wouldn't have exposed myself if there was a chance he would be cult.
You are not wrong, thought, by saying I took a risk. There was always a risk that Victor/Edoc were using the GT's incident to lie to town saying they could recruit mafias and turn them to town and hopefully have one or more members claiming and offing them right away.
That was my only risk I took. I know victor is town.

Ok I have read through the posts now.
Seems to me that opinions are split and shifting constantly over the last 3 or 4 pages. Do I believe there are to mafia families out there? No it just does not seem right. Some players are pretty well exposed as having the whiff of scum about them.
I liked the idea of the edoc flip, but that seems to have been dropped now, with little chance of support again.
My choice after that was the VS vote.
The freezie thing I am not saying it’s wrong, just not quite right.
So when these players line up to vote to lynch target. With only 1 more vote needed. I just cannot support that vote at the moment.
So apologies but no vote yet. Will read comments again later.

ABWOP:
@ Rodion and other skeptics, now that Victor has said both he and edoc can recruit, that's an extra layer of confirmation. If doom and freezie aren't recruited tomorrow, then we might have a problem. But a cult that has extra recruits means that unless we had lynched Victor Day 1, it's damn near impossible to stop him once he had a couple of recruits. They'd be like weeds, you can't get rid of all of them. If they are cult, then even with the possibility of refusing membership, the extra recruitment opportunities is seriously OP to me.
