sorry i forgot about this thread and i shoulda been checking it, glad you moved on w/o me.
demeco ryans, for some insane reason, dropped to the first pick in the 2nd round a year ago. he had more tackles playing for a crappier team than that overrated big ten loser, aj hawk, what was he, 6th overall pick? LAME
yes, i'm a bama fan, demeco was also an academic all-american and appears to be a genuinely nice dude. stories like his never get told....
off soapbox: guessing for this question........hmmm warren moon?

AJ Hawk was the 5th selection in the draft, he was runner-up for NFC Rookie of the year (behind Bush of corse) and lead the team in tackles
Anyway I guess Montana just cause Marino was taken already

In the 1990's Brett Favre threw 229 touchdown passes, seting the record.

Nice try, the runner up rookie of the year is a lameass player, good call.
He was the reason the packers finished 8-8, with so many clutch stops that apparently you never saw.

at this point i'm not sure you can even read, my friend. where did i say he was "a lameass player?" and you and your boy need to either check your facts or give me a reference: from what i can find, there hasn't been an NFC rookie of the year award since 1996. what award are you referring to, some newspaper or website somewhere?
and even if he did
get second place for some award, that would simply add weight to my point: hawk has a hype machine out there. he's overrated. he was the fifth pick in the draft but got outplayed by people taken much later than him. he has a cool-sounding name, played for an equally overrated but big name school, and he happens to be a white linebacker. but he's not worth a top five pick, he'll never be one of the best in the league, and he wasn't even the best backer in his draft. suck it

Hey buddy, second place means that only ONE person was better than him in the NFC. Tell me that is overrated? Thats like saying the team that lost the Super Bowl sucks, because they only were the second best team.[/u]

And back on topic, a trivia question(a very difficult one):
The NBA's only player to be a team's career points leader without ever leading his team in points in a single season.

im just gonna gues on that NBA question
Carl Malone?

Man I missed my turn giving a question
BTW Nephilim, by saying that AJ Hawk is overrated just because he was out played one year by Demarco Ryans, you're stupid (See Todd Holensworth for ROTY in MLB). I'm not saying Demarco doesn't have good years left in him, he may be better than AJ Hawk and the Texans got a steal on him with the #33 pick, but you're saying he's overrated because he was picked 5th and didn't win ROTY?
If we're going by that note, shouldn't have Mario Williams won both ROTY and MVP?

Does that make him overrated?

I love the passion of Packer fans
Anyway, it was not Karl Malone, he led his team many times in the 90's
Clue is that they play in the southeast
