Problem is, we aren't just reading a book. Evidence can still be evidence even if its not something we can (or want to) trot out for all to see. It's not science. But science is not the only truth.

and what about the fact that when Emporer Constantine or whatever organized the council to choose which books went into the bible, why was it that there were almost as many books as are in the bible now that stated that jesus had no powers or divinity... explain that!

its widely know that there were many books of the bible written by the same people as the other books that had no reference to his divinity at all but they were left out of the bible

No reference to divinity would be quite different than claiming He had no powers or divinity perhaps. Is there a specific work you would like to discuss though? Also, what people do you refer to?

Personal things. Not trying to convince you to think as I, but such a closed mind will miss many answers. Saying you don't believe is one thing. Everybody has different experiences. Saying that no one but an idiot would believe means you consider yourself smarter than the overwhelming majority of humans alive today. That is, well, not particularly intelligent.

So you think that people oppose a belief means it cannot be valid? Do you realize what that encompasses? Basically every thought humans have ever had.

Again, you don't have to accept the Bible.

These are the kind of atheists that arise from the strict Christian households that go too far in trying to push their religion on children. You can tell because they are oddly fixated on making fun of the Bible and Jesus. Hopefully religious people will be more accepting about their religion once they realize that their hard-nosed attitude is producing atheists like this.

you know matthew mark and all that shit and no i dont have a particular work to discuss im pretty sure they dissapeared when they werent placed in the bible we just know about their content from other sources
