Meh, you still haven't broken my record of 3 graphics stamps on one map ;)

Now that is a dubious distinction. ;)

I will try to look at this very soon. Too bad I didn't think to check sooner -- I return to work tomorrow, having been off since the Wednesday before Christmas. 8-)

Just to let everyone know: I have a new version of the XML. I have not changed the coordinates for the large map, but since the small map has been resized, I used the Map XML Wizard to auto scale from the large to the small using

These versions were sent to me by [player]thenobodies80[/player] via PM. Unfortunately, I am having problems with fileden right now, so I can't upload them there and use the Mapmaker tool to produce images with 88s to check coordinates. (I wish the Mapmaker tool could access local files the way the Map XML Wizard can. :( ) I could attach the XML here, or post it in a code block, but that seems premature since I have done no real checking. I don't trust the Map XML Wizard's positioning, since it seems to offset things slightly from where you click. I wonder if that has anything to do with the way CC puts four shadows around the numbers to give them the black outline. Anyway, once I can run things through the Mapmaker tool and put some test images online, I will post here again to start the next round of nitpicking helpful corrections of coordinates. Am I correct that we have had no changes to gameplay?

Oh, and what about the change to the legend: "are river crosses" -> "are river crossings" or "Castles cross rivers" or "Castles are bridges" or whatever...

Actually it doesn't, the coordinates go exactly where you click, it's just that the xml wizard displays the numbers with an offset. And since chipv isn't working on his tools anymore I doubt it's going to be fixed ever :(

So, if I position the cursor so that it looks right, and I click, it will be displayed offset by the Wizard, but will be okay in the Mapmaker tool and the game itself?

Basically, yes.

Also, when you have the number selected, it shows it as exactly 1 pixel down from where it actually is, so if you temporarily move it 1 pixel up, you'll see how it looks on mapmaker/game. When the number is not selected, it shows at 1 pixel down + 1 pixel to the right.

Update: Apparently fileden got hacked, so upload access is gone for a little while. I will keep an eye out for further news.

Yes, but that is less convenient for test images. Also, the Mapmaker tool will only work through links. Say, does an attached file here have a distinct URL that the Mapmaker tool could use? (I would just try and see, but I'm on lunch at work, and don't have anything to attach.)

Excellent, perhaps I can sort this out this evening. No promises, though -- Big Bang Theory and Person of Interest are on tonight.

Ender needs to get his alphabet straight. CC is definitely before TV.

I'm very sorry, but fileden went four feet to the sky for a while, and I haven't had much time since it got running again (especially since they forced a password reset, then messed up the automatic email, so I had to deal with their support team.) I hope I can get some work done this weekend, but right about now, I have to pop out and pick up my daughter from the mall. Dad's taxi, at your service.

Yes, but without a working link, you can't use the Mapmaker Tool. I wanted to do some checks and grab some images with 88's to show off the centering.

You know, this conversation did seem a bit familiar. I guess, to be more specific, I did not want to upload a version that everyone could see until I had done the tests. That would require a link that I could use that was not here on a post. Fingers crossed, I will have something today.

Yes, sorry, got a little busy with real life: appointments yesterday, my wife's birthday today, exchanging the gift I bought her tomorrow (a very nice terry cloth robe, which unfortunately came with a hole in the pocket). It might be a few more days before I am back on track here. (It's hard to get enthusiastic about recentering coordinates after all the work I did with theBastard's images.)
