New BOB mostly OK

I've tried the new and old BOB in multiple games. I'm pretty confident the new lack XML has broken the old BOB and a "mis-interpretation" has caused the bonuses in the games to be mis-identified by the script. The old BOB calculates the bonuses properly, but doesn't do much else correctly.

My Firebug software trapped the following error with the old BOB:

entries[i].getElementsByTagName("name")[0] has no properties
greasemonkey.js
Line 1638

Also, how can I show my menu again after I clicked hide? It just disappears nowhere to be found.

move the mouse to the left side if your screen and it should pop up.

Please take the time to look through the last few pages of the thread to see if your questions have already been answered before asking a question if you'd like one of us to take the time to answer you. It's very inconsiderate, otherwise. Basically; new BOB is buggy, old BOB worked but it isn't anymore.

i just found out something (not sure if its useful or not).

rebelman, when i used ur link to go to that game, my BOB menu disappeared adn no continet/army counts.

i decided to copy/paste that game number into my original tab, where i still had my BOB menu and it works fine for me. for some reason, new BOB doesnt work through links.

My BOB was not working either. I figured that I had both BOB and clickable maps. When I turned off clickable maps, BOB worked fine.

BOB should be above clickable maps. Just go to manage userscripts and drag CM below BOB on the list.

I do and it does not work. I disabled Clickable maps and BOB works fine (latest update 4.1.1)

It still may have continent problems, as wicked had them but she didn't have CM.

might be the fix?

Rebel, I've commented in your game also, but think I might have figured something out. Reading through past comments here, I noticed someone said put http://conquerclub.com instead of the http://www.conquerclub.com* in greasemonkey. Instead what I did was put in BOTH via the following steps:

Tools, Greasemonkey -> Manage User Scripts, Included Pages (on the right) ADD and added http://conquerclub.com* to the existing http://www.conquerclub.com*

For reasons unknown, that seems to have fixed my mis-counting bonuses problem (which might be the equivalent of your counting continents problem). It also made the occasional error that was popping up with firebug (a script debugger I run also) go away. I suspect there is a bug in the way some of the code is being referenced in the script or lack changed something in the xml update or both...

A suggestion for the TODO list.

A suggestion for the TODO list.

I would really like to be able to see some attack distribution statistics.
It could look like the following.
_______________________
Attack Distribution Statistics
In this game 1047 attacks have been made.
Player A 229 attacks (21.9%)
Player B 314 attacks (30.0%)
Player C 292 attacks (27.9%)
Player D 212 attacks (20.2%)

Player A made 229 attacks in 31 rounds:
attacked Player B 125 times (54.6%) to 134 (42.6%)
attacked Player C 9 times or (3.9%) to 14 (4.8%)
attacked Player D 95 times (41.5%) to 84 (39.6%)

Player B made 314 attacks etc.etc.etc.
_______________________

I think this would improve my strategic game play and make it easier to spot and confront secret alliances.

BTW, thanks yeti_c for bringing us BOB.

Are you just using BOB (4.1.1) or BOB(4.1.1) and clickable maps?

Morning!!

OK the problem is a caching issue - your browser has cached XML...

So goto

Tools -> Clear Private Data - choose your options - but ensure that "cache" is enabled.

Click OK...

Now go back into your games and tell me what happens?

C.

PS I know this works - as Rebs game had everything listed as no continent - I dropped my cache and went back in - and everything is calculated correctly.

Angus - if you're getting that - then I think you may have grabbed the update too soon - The XML was pointing at the wrong directory - I changed the upload very quickly afterwards - so if you reupgrade - then it should be OK...

(Remember to clear your cache though)

Is something going on currently? Most BOB function don't work at the moment, no stats, no map inspect, can't cash cards..

Had to disable the script.

(I did try clearing cache and re-installing; this didn't solve the problem)

Happens both on Windows as well as Linux.
