spidey,

Nice stats update. One quibble.

I believe "y" should be clinched Division and "z" should be first overall in Conference (or NHL).

Anaheim has a magic number of 3 (for division - which will put them in the playoffs), while Edmonton has magic numbers of 9 (for division) and 12 (for conference). Everybody else is too close to call.

Tampa (me) has a magic number of 11 - both division and conference

Man Aerial you are the best number cruncher I have seen.

I'm pretty sure I don't have a shot in the dark of making the playoffs due to me picking up Ottawa midseason with a horrible last place record I think I have done a good job and have enjoyed every game/aspect of this tourney.

no, I think I got it right. It is more to determine who has home advantage in the playoffs.

Speaking of the playoffs. For the 2nd round (and beyond), will the highest remaining seed always face the lowest remaining seed?

Will the 1/8 winner face the 4/5 winner? Or if 8 won, would they move on to be the road team at 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, or 7?

Columbus was victorious in games:
1063669, 1063666 and 1063665

Lost: 1063816

I will join the remaining outstanding games this weekend (was just too many to do all at once).

Yes, that is how the actual NHL playoffs work, so I am assuming that is how spidey is going to do it. Higher seed gets home ice, and plays lowest remaining seed.

that is correct, I will be doing the highest seed will always play the lowest seed with the highest seed getting the home ice advantage. Not a good thing if you are playing edmonton or tampa bay.

If there happens to be a season 2 may I suggest that goals for and against be calculated by armies received or by a formula involving how many round it took to complete the game.

If it is used for a tie-breaker purpose it should be something more evenly earned. Points won severely handicaps higher ranked players. I don't think it will ever get to that tie-break. Just a suggestion.

Still waiting for Atlanta to join in 3 games...

Will the standings be updated soon?

Are there any more games left? I can't recall...

Tampa Bay traveled to it's home arena only to lose to the host Edmonton Oilers. So, it's worse to have to face Edmonton. Also - I think other people are starting to get the hang of the map. So the advantage is not nearly as great (if at all) as it was in the beginning of the season.

To answer keiths31 question - there are only 82 games in the season so for the most part everyone has less than 10 games to go.
