Please, put Ragian's name in HotShot's spot
He is playing with us and HotShot is not.

Ragian wrote:I was thinking, "Happy days," reading the scene. That was only because I didn't know what a Yakuza was. The scene says apparent suicide, which means, as I understood the role from this link, that someone has been converted to mafia. Right? Has anyone actually played with such a role before? So, we've lost two townies. Or a 3rd party, perhaps? It just says "that person". It's not limited.

More or less, converting somebody else to the mafia side at the expense of your own life is the core functionality of the role, the "can't be saved" part and anything else is more up to the mod/site afaik but we can fairly safely assume it did go through, so yeah, somebody who was not mafia-sided yesterday is in all likelihood mafia sided today.

It seems the PR-giver took my advice,
I think that is very nice.

Yup, someone is scum sided now and I'm mad DDS didn't pick me. Probably picked Pika to spite me.

Gah! Jusr when we had it worked down to a few
Now we have to search for someone new.

I'm still iffy on sam' s reaction to the role fish.
However I haven't looked further into him or anyone who has interacted with Dish.

I have suspected the way Aage plays
Without scumhunting for two whole days.

Since no one wants to break the ice,
I'll vote Aage to be nice. :D

lol.

So presumably scum tried to trade up from DDS (not hard to do...).
Who was a known or suspected town power role? He or she may be scum now.
Though obviously scum might be privy to it's own investigative information and thus knew about a powerful townie that wasn't common knowledge.

So Kwanton was a chef. That meant he made a meal for two other players each night and they learned facts about each other. Is that right?

So now I'm expected to be a poet.
I must remember not to blow it.

I must've dreamed the bit where I all but led the charge on BuJ. Is this vote serious?

Kwanton was the chef, that sucks. His role seemed pretty powerful.

re: DDS's role. Ragian's link sounds reasonable. That would mean there's a new mafia member. Looks like it's gonna be a scummy November.

A loud gunshot was heard throughout town. Everyone ducked, panicked as they looked around to see if they could find the shooter. One member of town wobbled, before falling to their knee's, then onto their stomach.

Skoffin, Sentient Potato, Town Crier has been killed!

Oh shit, this is true,
Well, not led, but cast vote 2. ;)

unvote

Sorry Aage, the Night lasted for so long that I forgot what had been happening during Day 2, except for the Pika prosecution, and Bujaber switch.
I do like this rhyiming idea because it will allow us an access to the remaining scum's subconsciousnes (that's not how it's spelled, but I have no spell check on this device :) ). Either they allow us to see what is going on behind the curtain, in the depth of their scummy minds or they purposefully attempt to avoid posting anything relevant and this reveales them for the scumsters that they are!!!

There is no way out

Ragian, good catch on the Yakuza thing. I was just thinking it was a flavor role name, didn't realize we'd be able to infer behavior from it, and had never heard of that mafia role.

Who would shoot a potato?
Will they come out and say so?

I almost missed the PR ._. tbh I wouldn't be surprised if it's just TFO making it up every day just to mess with us. Yakuza thing is annoying, but better to have it sooner rather than later. Unfortunate someone shot skoffin, especially since a town crier can confirm themselves really easily. Maybe we can figure out for sure if the oracle exists now, though I was hoping they'd have spoken out by now.
Maybe the item person handed out a gun? To shoot a potato really seems like no fun.

Sorry for the double post. I'm on my phone only, visiting my old folks this weekend. I promised more, and I'll deliver, but you'll have to wait a wee bit. I can't organise on my phone.

Also, I forgot a couplet before.
I must be punished till I'm sore.

This comment is inappropriate. You may not like mitch's decision but calling him a retard is offensive and mean.

So many questions for us to ponder.
So we've lost two communicative town roles: crier and chef.
I suppose the chef arranged a two-person dinner each night, so at least two dinners, three if his dinner last night happened before he was killed.
We have yet to hear more from the oracle/spirits. Maybe they're the same as the crier, maybe not.
How did Mitch get a gun did somebody give it to him or is that just a power role.
I'm guessing DDS/Yakuza played his suicide now because scum found the ideal recruit? If that is so, what type of role would scum most like to recruit?

These mysteries grow ever stranger...
as all around lurks death and danger!

During my read-through, Thor was one who caugh my eye asking a lot of questions, but not pointing his finger against anyone. Whom do you suspect, Thor, and why? (The hammer reeks of wanting town cred for the rest of the game.) Also, D2 gave me a good feeling about Aage, Mets, and Strike (even though they weren't necessarily in agreement), while I it seemed that both Mandy and Skoffin (RIP) were more or less confirmed town thanks to Kwan (RIP).

However, with a suiciding yakuza, someone has been converted, so it's difficult to say that this and this person is confirmed town. I'll be keeping an eye on those, though, because if I had to choose someone to convert, I would have chosen one of them. (Mandy's early vote made me go, "It's this guy," but then he backtracked.) This is also why I don't blame Mitch for thinking that he was doing the right thing (albeit for the wrong reasons).

So, if I leave out the yakuza thing, I would rank the players as follows based on my read through:

Most likely town:
- Aage
- Mets
- Strike
- Mandy

Unsure (most townie to least townie)
- Pika
- Samlen
- Benga
- Mitch
- Skittles
- Thor

I'd be voting Thor at this point, but if he starts playing the game with more than questions, I would probably move on to Skittles.

Thor is also high on my list. I'm also now a bit suss on Mitch for the Skoff hit. Mets rang town to me yesterday despite defending Buj. It's possible he might use his reputation as devil's advocate to get away with defending a scum buddy a bit more than he should but that's not how it read to me. I will keep him as town leaning today because his stance would make him a poor choice for the Yakuza to sac convert. Aage and mand y both appeared town yesterday but are in question now for the Yakuza. Same could probably said about me.

I received a gift last night. Given it's description and the one Sam/Aage gave, I don't think it's the same as what they were offered. However, the description of it gives me the impression that there's an inventor giving out whacky inventions that half-work.

The town was uneasy.
Day 2 had gone breezy
But now there's a new fiend at work.
And their stench is quite nauseous.
So let's all be cautious
Because they're worse than Miley Cyrus' twerk.
So good luck and good tidings.
Let's get a scum lynch a riding.
And please everyone don't be a jerk.

So now I know that's not a couplet.
The ante I wanted to up it.
