AFOS definitely have their noses in front right now. I'm counting 28-27 AFOS lead.

I hope that is the outcome. There are two games still up in the air with TSM advantage, however that said, this is CC and anything can happen.

It looks like 3 of these 4 quarter finals will pretty much come down to the tie breaker which is great and demonstrates what a healthy competitive clan world we have.

For the 4 clans fortunate enough to go through, there needs to be some discussion on the scheduling of the semi-finals.

Clearly we are way behind the original schedule:

Final 4

1st Round Games Sent - Sunday, October 21, 2012
2nd Round Games Sent - Sunday, November 4, 2012
3rd Round Games Sent - Sunday, November 18, 2012

Given any new set of dates are going to be throughout December, the clash with the holiday period is going to be significant. Should we discuss delaying the final 4 ?

Hey, jetsetwilly.

You can forget about that schedule as it is way out of … everything.

Semi-finals will start in early January; I plan to send a notification once we have our winners decided. If any of the clans want to start in December, clearly I will not object that. Clans can always send dubs or escalating games if their opponents agree and finish most of them before Christmas and NY.

If we are lucky enough to get past Empire then will be more than happy to wait until January ;)

would be nice if you push it to start early January, so the finals can start at beginning of March when can we start collecting applications for CC4.
i know its a bit far looking, but short time planing hasnt done anything good so far, and i think we can all agree that Conqueror Cup has proven once more to be most important clan thing on CC... even more important then your sex exchange surgery.

That wasn't that important apparently. Just a rash decision over a bottle of vodka and a free afternoon.

Nothing to stop the collection of applications for CC4 (even if CC3 is ongoing) - the important thing is when to apply the seedings, which rightfully should be done at the conclusion of CC3. But nothing wrong with taking applications early. CL3 is probably the more pertinent tourney that needs to start earlier in 2013 than CC3 - and for that we would want to know the Top 8 seeds (and each group of 8 thereafter) asap.

i dont see problem with seeding. this year, after initial bracket was out ppl consider your draw has been hardest one, yet in first round you got no fight at all, in second round we showed our teeth early on but once you get in front you never look back, and now in quarters looks like TOFU will be the clan who got most comfortable win!
todays clan world has become competitive enough that youll get no walkover wins and in the same time true quality will be seen at the end.

in short, seeding will be fine whenever we apply it.

I agree. Plenty of "upsets" have gone around and the last round has been very intense & close in all the match ups. Again, this is testament to the current clan world and quality of team players on this site. Seeding never seemed that important to me anyway, you have to be able to beat them all to win it all!

seeding is cool though. wouldn't've liked to see these quarter final match ups on the first round. even if a team like osa, seeded 22nd at the time made it through to 1/4 finals and almost created a huge underdog surprise. At the time of the seeding, we were about to win vs empire (or it was already won but not in the f400 ranking yet, don't remember) and we made a huge jump from the 5th till the 2nd or 3rd place after that win, so we basically had clans ranked 1,2 and 3 on our side of the bracket. Anyway, as proved in CL4 phase 2, there is very little difference between the top 8, and whatever happens the best clan will win the title.

freak, we still have a small chance don't give it to tofu yet! ;)

The difference is small because it all comes down to dice.

Yup a bit like poker i d say. You can have a good read on your opponent s move and get badbeaten pretty bad due to terrible odds. At a certain level where players make lesser mistakes dice take even more importance
