I changed it to read 'modern' American history.

We don't want to be pitting Obamacare against Jamestown just yet

What I said was that saying Obamacare is the worst domestic policy decision in American history is to compare it to genocide. Genocide's worse than a bad website. Phatty changed it to "worst in contemporary domestic history," which at least takes genocide and structural racism off the table (I still disagree, but at least we're comparing a bad website to bad tax cuts) And please tell me where I say genocide's ok when other countries do it, thanks.

You think the only problem with Obamacare is its website?

No, but a) that's the most glaring problem right now, I'd say objectively b) we can't fix the problems I have with health care reform in any political scenario where the Green Party doesn't have operating control of every instrument of government.

Re: ObamaCare - Delayed until after the next elections, AGA

Since none of the young people who need to sign-up to underwrite health care for the old and frail are actually signing up, Obama hosted a conference at the White House to discuss ways to get them to pay up for the oldies. Among his suggestions was having bartenders discuss variable insurance premium pricing options with their customers who haven't signed-on. The bars Obama hangs out at sound like they're off-the-fucking-hook. Maybe they could replace body shot contests with actuarial table quizzes?

Much of the discontentment seems tied to Obamacare. Sixty-one percent of young people disapproved of his handling of health care, and 57 percent disapproved of the Affordable Care Act itself. And there was also widespread pessimism about the ultimate impact of the law: 44 percent of respondents said they think the quality of their health care will get worse, compared with only 17 percent who expected their care to improve.

The president, acting as cheerleader-in-chief, urged his audience to return home and spread the good word about Obamacare. Students could set up conferences at their colleges, he suggested, and bartenders talk up health coverage during happy hour. He also ticked off the social media channels that are integral to most millennials’ daily lives. Whether via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or other virtual conversation, “the most important source of information is not going to be me. It’s going to be you,” he said.

You are really pressin on me aren't ya Dave? What's your problem with what I said? Is this another AIDS thing where you quote me thinking I said something stupid, but then you learn it's true, but the stupid is already out of the box? I'm considering lifting my self-imposed ban on name-calling.

I might have to ground your ass again.

Fwiw, the amount I will be paying for equivalent-ish insurance has been cut approximately in half, at least before i submit my taxes this year. And this through a program able to continue operation, magically (I cannot think of any means other than sorcery responsible for this to be true), through a government shutdown no less. I find this to be acceptable.

Then you first need to demonstrate that 'Europeans' (by which you mean Greeks) are definitely infecting themself with HIV in order to claim benefits.

The Daily Mail pulling together a load of circumstantial evidence to draw a scandalous conclusion does not = fact.

This administration loves to make up stats and then lie about them.

The larger problem is that none of these represent true enrollments. HHS is reporting how many people "selected" a plan on the exchange, not how many people have actually enrolled in a plan with an insurance company by paying the first month's premium, which is how the private insurance industry defines enrollment. HHS has made up its own standard.

You're being silly. I don't have to prove anything, I said I have read stories I shared the story, and you confirmed that at least 200 people in fact have done so (my wall).

The March of the U.S. Public Health Service is one of the most under-appreciated American military marches.
