The band's name is a play on words of the Grand Trunk Western Railroad, a railroad line that ran through the band's home town of Flint, Michigan.

Pictures Of Home Deep Purple
Frank Zappa's 4 December concert at the Casino was made infamous when a member of the audience fired a flare into the building's roof. Although there were no fatalities, the resultant fire ruined Deep Purple's plans. Nobs relocated the band to a nearby theatre called the Pavilion, where they recorded the basic tracks for a song provisionally titled "Title No. 1." Bass player Roger Glover said he woke up saying the title "Smoke on the Water" out loud, one morning. Later Gillan, based on the title, wrote the lyrics describing the band's experience in Montreux, recording the Machine Head album

You Are The Sunshine Of My Life Stevie Wonder
The sunshine of Stevie Wonder's life when he wrote this song was Syreeta Wright, who he married in 1970. Wright, who started at Motown Records as a secretary, co-wrote Wonder's hit "Signed, Sealed, Delivered I'm Yours" that same year, and also all nine songs on Stevie's 1971 album Where I'm Coming From.

"The Great Gig in the Sky" on ( The Dark Side of The Moon) Pink Floyd
The Dark Side of the Moon is the eighth studio album by the English progressive rock band Pink Floyd, released in March 1973. It built on ideas explored in the band's earlier recordings and live shows, but lacks the extended instrumental excursions that characterised their work following the departure in 1968 of founder member, principal composer, and lyricist, Syd Barrett. The Dark Side of the Moon's themes include conflict, greed, the passage of time, and mental illness, the latter partly inspired by Barrett's deteriorating mental state.

From the Sgt. Pepper's album, which changed the way a lot of people looked at music, inspired others and may have caused Brian Wilson's nervous breakdown.

Circle Of Life
Elton John
"Circle of Life" is a song from Disney's 1994 animated film The Lion King. Composed by Elton John, with lyrics by Tim Rice, the song was performed by Carmen Twillie (female vocals) and Lebo M (opening Zulu vocals) as the film's opening song. Elton John sang a pop version of the song with the London Community Gospel Choir, which was included in the film's soundtrack and made into a music video. "Circle of Life" was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Song in 1994, along with two other songs from The Lion King: "Hakuna Matata" and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" which won the award.
