That assist is bonkers. I think the French league suits him because, lets face it it's maybe the 4th or 5th strongest league in Europe so he has less pressure against lesser teams and as a result grows in confidence and can do things like that. I was always a fan of Zlatan, pity we didn't see him in the EPL.

Raul and Bergkamp are my all time favorite non Man Utd players though.

being the 5th strongest league doesn't mean the defenses are not giving you a hard time. The attackers are worse, but the defenses are at the same level as any top league (can you blame the defense for not anticipating zlatan's assist?). As i already said in this thread; all players comming to the ligue1 from any of the top other 4 leagues complain about the ligue1 being the most physical championship they've played in. The teams play rather defensively, and I can assure you that if he is scoring this amount of goals, he would do the same or more in any other championship. He scored 28 in serie A in his last season there, and he is a better player now because he is the best in assists.
Zlatan in England or Spain with confidence and the team using him as their lead player would totally destroy everything too.

I don't think he actually typed those answers. Some sounded like trying too much.

But I've seen a couple of interviews and he's funny indeed.

nike marketing. it's his image and they are building on it.

he's making an xbox1 add here in france basically where he is playing fifa 14 online with a guy that realizes he is playing the real zlatan; so zlatan goes "there is only one zlatan!!" the guy kicks his ass, so zlatan says "actually it was not zlatan" lol

only thing is that in real life, that was far from the best henry and far from the best ibra.. and far from the best messi actually lol. all 3 at 100%.... that would ve been quite a different story!

by the way, looks like arsenal wasn't too far from a great performance against bayern.
and the atletico asskicked milan, just as predicted; milan was one of the weakest sides this far.

Can't see McDermott being kept at Leeds much longer. Terrible.

Bayern were never in any real trouble. If they need to win they would have. Think City will get closer against Barce.

Paris made a lot of turnover... And without their motta-matuidi-verratti trident in the midfield they are not the same (rabiot-cabaye-pastore were replacing). This marquinhos guy bought for 35M€ last summer was hugely over rated. Can t believe they sold Sakho to liverpool... Sakho was the captain of the PSG since he was 17... Maybe not as reliable as Alex, but Sakho is a real parisian. Marquinhos was bought almost as expensive as thiago silva... And thiago silva WAS/IS one of the best if not the best defense in the world.
Anyway, Lavezzi is very good since 2014, he had been pretty disapointing till then.
Paris just did the job tonight, win without being convincing.

Regarding city barça, well none of them were really convincing either. Barcelona is far from being the tean it used to be.

I saw the game, if Manchester City had scored a goal, Barcelona would've fallen into despair, you could see it in Tata's face, he knew it was a delicate situation.

The officiating for the Barcelona game was - to be kind to the officials - terrible.

I don't think City were ever going to qualify, although I think Barcelona were worried. Barcelona were denied a clear penalty and had a legitimate goal disallowed in the first half. The better team are through.

Nice game by united, olympiakos didn t play bad either. So I guess all the last 16 went as we all expected, i guess we all missed doing a some cash here :D

Can t wait to see the quarter finals draw results.

And just hope the betis tomorrow doesn t lose it s 2-0 advance in the away game vs sevilla...

Probably the strongest last 8 ever in the CL. Have to say I think the weakest two sides left were playing tonight. Bayern and Real are out on their own, Barce close behind then you have PSG, A. Madrid and Chelsea all about the same a little farther back.

Fancy Real.

I d put the Barça in the same group as the Atletico, PSG and Chelsea, Bayern and the Real ahead. The Barça is a team that got old, with a coach that isn't that good.
I d like to see a PSG Man U in quarter finals.

I didn't see any improvement on Manchester UTD. Olympiacos created more goal chances, just failed all of them.

And the three goals by Van Persie, all of them came on defensive mistakes.

I actually predicted all 8 qualifiers correctly and won about £40 off a £10 bet!

Man Utd were 2/1 to qualify last night. Bookies got robbed blind :D

de gea saved united on several ocasions. I don't watch united very often, but I think they were more than acceptable and I doubt they play like this most of the time. I heard rumours about ferguson that could come back next season?

If Fergie did come back it would explain why they appointed Moyes and not a top manager... can't see it though, not after his book.
