The territory name of Goemark Station is still misspelt as Goemrak Station

so what are you saying it should be?[/quote]
The territory name on the map is currently "Goemrak Station"
On the legend you have the region named as "Goemark"
I'm assuming that one of them is incorrect :?

Ah, here i am thinking they're both wrong...but all the is wrong is one doesn't correspond to the other; why didn't you say so. ;)
Fixed. Please refresh.

I also preferred the solid outlines for the sniper ranges. The dots are best left to the artillery bombardment borders. I do like the new colour for S2.

The rewrite is taking longer than I would have expected... Longer by far than the original draft

But I have most of the tert names changed, what's taking time is going back through and undoing my mistakes. Plus I'm having some trouble with some of the new names... particularly the ones with numbered units, like 674th 3rd div got changed to 64th 15th div, etc.

I can handle it, but like I said, it's just taking some time to cross-reference, that's all. But I am working on it, I really am :)

actually, goemark is incorrect and goemrak is spelt that way only in dutch texts (google goemrak and u'll see what i mean).

gumrak is the preferred english-language transliteration from cyrillic script.

Hey there Cairns.

If you want some comments - I can provide an info of how Russian names and places should be spelled. I can see some misspells (should be kuporosnaya, Mameev). Also, you have an inconsistency in namings. For example, Zaitsev and Sheykin. Both have the same sound (well, I can't insert the sound here) and you spell it through 'y' one time and through 'i' another time - that is wrong.

Also, some terrs have mix of Russian and English. I think it is better to decide how you want to name them - full Russian or full English. For example, Rynok means marketplace. Mameev hill is Mameev Kurgan in Russian. On the other hand you have Hospital instead of Bolnitsa (or just Gospital).

So if you would like to have perfect namings here - please say so and I will comment each terr name :-).

^^ I'm happy with the current combination of names. :)
It is not my intention to seek perfection.
I'm just waiting for the xml to be done so this can get into beta

I never noticed until, but you use "territories" in the legend. You could use "regions" --- Official CC lingo. It'd make some areas easier to read, because of its reduced length. And it'd be consistent, since you use Assault, Bombardment, etc.

Thanks for dropping in Andy, but i don't understand what you're saying here. This one has never come up before. Since when was a territory regarded officially as a "region". Also "territories" is still in use in the xml as an official tag.... ;)

Oh that....well to me they're one in the same thing.
Does that mean we have to change all the existing maps that mention "territories".
Also appears lackattack hasn't kept pace with his own stats board with the xml.
As i said, <territory> is still the official tag in the xml...that's what i'm going by.

Well the XML also says "continents" but nobody uses "continents" in maps... The XML tags are only inner elements, they don't show up in the actual game. However when your turn begins the game log says:

cairnswk received 3 troops for 8 regions

That being said... I actually agree with you, if you want to call them territories I don't see a huge problem with doing so. There's no real consistency in what different maps call things anyway. Sometimes the game terms are twisted to fit the theme of the map. For example in a world map it makes sense to call the bonus zones "continents" but in a map of a single country it doesn't make much sense to do so...

to keep the peace.

Was just a suggestion to keep your lingo consistent across the board, as you have a mix between official and unofficial. :)
