I don't believe redoing it will be necessary, but lets see. :(

I want to wait until at least Friday.

oK this map is in final forge but i looked on page 33 which are meant to be the most up to date maps (the title did fool me at first) although the creator has indicated he has newer ones in a subsequent post but as of now i can see nothing at all !! how are we meant to comment on a map or see if the colors clash etc. if its hidden
Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

I think that the maps have disappeared from their hosting due to timeout...

We'll just have to wait and see...

The links are off because I forgot to pay my subscription to the site where I was hosting them.

RJ Beals has contacted me via pm and he will be kindly helping me finish this map. I am sorry I haven't had more time to finish this map but right now I am working on my university thesis and I have very little time to spare.

It only needs some finishing touches (like centring the army circles) as I said before which thanks to RJ's help shouldn't take long to be fixed. I will be sending the files to RJ in the coming days.

Thanks to all for your support and interest in this map and sorry for taking so long to finish it. Hopefully it will be finished soon.

He's sending me the psd files... so, yeah. Now this map has the title of longest time in Final Forge. Let's finish this thing in 1 week so we can start playing!

Malta was started on Dec-5 2006, and Netherlands was Dec-29, 2006

Beals I think he means actual time the map has spent IN Final Forge status. That is currently held by Netherlands.

I have agreed to help Ruben finish the Malta map as he has had very little free time to devote to his beautiful map. I have the psd file - but it is only the large version. All Ruben's previous map images (large & small) have been removed from his image host. So above is what we have to go with. Ruben mentioned some centering of army circles, but I can't see where. They look fine to me.

KEYOGI wrote:You might want to look at the size of those army shadows on the small map though, they seem a little on the small side.

When I create the small map, we'll look at the circles then - but for now, there is no small map.

AndyDufresne wrote:Ruben, would it be possible to soften the edge of the impassables? Right now, the hills look placed on the map, as do the mountains (the trees I think look pretty good). Would you be against blending them into the land a little, to make them apart of the map, rather than sitting on top?
I don't think this would be very easy. I don't think the impassables take away from the map at all though - they kind of embellish it.

So let's get this map into the mix - I want to play it !! Please post any comments / concerns before I begin work on small map.

(Above are the only 2 outstanding comments that I found when going back through the pages of this map.)

I'm going to keep Valletta as non-neutral on the map, becuase I don't think Ruben wanted it that way. It will just give whomever is lucky enough to be dropped there a bonus of +1.

I'm leaving soon for a week long holiday. I'll begin work on the small map when I return. I'll have very little access to internet while I'm gone. I also hope to have the quenched before Christmas !

Thanks RJ, I would like to leave the gameplay as it is and just add the finishing touches. There shouldn't be much left apart from some army centring in the small version perhaps?

Enjoy your holiday! :)
