Village 3 needs a bit more of a clean - but otherwise well done...
Would be a bit better if the names were a bit closer too.
See what you can do (I assume now you have that added it should be easy to move)

I think this map needs more (insert hardest thing to do with a flattened image). Anyone else agree?

So, are you reasoning that because both of the Northern Kingdoms are somewhat spread out from the other four that it doesn't matter that they are further from the village?
They are 6 territories away, while the others are four away.
I know you've discussed all this, but if you don't mind maybe explain your thoughts behind the bonuses and layout etc..
Also, do you think 'conquering' needs to be explained? Hold all castles until the beginning of your next turn. There would be space for this if you removed the one line of text above the title.

As a serious suggestion, I don't much like the title. The font bothers me. I also like colorful maps, but that is obv not the style you are going for.

Yeah the neutrals for the villages will be different depending on how far they are from two castles.

maybe a free version of this font:
edit:
try these websites out:
http://www.sinisterfonts.com (had some cool ones that might work, pretty sure that they're free)
http://www.1001freefonts.com (1000's of free fonts- dont use the search button cause they dont come up with free ones. Pretty hard to look fro a specific font here)
http://cooltext.com/fonts (has a smaller selection than 1001ff, but its easier to find what you want)

I agree The font on the territs is fine but the title just doesn't look right.....The legend is better although A non serif font would probably be better.

lose the "village" part of the "village names"
================================
after seeing what wm did in conquerclub man im in an animation mood could you put some animation in the water (i think i saw tel do this earlier in this thread) and also the smoke in the villages would look class animated
=================================
have a few issues with the text in the legend, will post on this anon once I have a proposed solution.

It depends on the type of serif font.... for legibility reasons. Also whrn using script fonts, they rarely work well in all capitals... Try upper and lower.
Actually that old english looking font you had there would work really nicely

Ill wait for your quries on te legends text. As for te animation, im working with a flat image now (Because of the lost PSD file) so there will be no animation for now.
I can try to remove the vilage names for you, but im no sure it will be possible without leaving a scar of the former name.

I managed to remove the "village" part of teh names. But i do not want to use a seriff font. I would prefer to keep it simple clean and crisp

The Feudal War Map has reached the
‘Final Forge’ Stage. I've revived this thread from the pits of the Foundry Furnace (okay, maybe not) and have examined the contents. Nearly every major concern has been addressed. If there are any other current concerns, please make your voice heard. If after a reasonable amount of time there has not been any objection or protest, the map will be deemed finished with the 'Foundry Brand' of approval and will be submitted for live play. As long as there is still discussion or posts that have yet to be commented on, the map will remain in
Final Forge until said discussion has reached the conclusion that the map has reached its final and polished version.
Post questions and concerns if any.
