Also maybe fade your signature, make it transparent with the map, so it doesn't stick out so much and blends with the map. But since it's your signature, you can surely keep it whatever way you'd like. I just like signatures that don't immediately get caught by my eye.

--Andy

I think that i explane these MarVal. Every map author try to hes signature be same in all hes work, and i try to all mine signature be same. I hope that these will not be new rule, because if i understand signature is 1 thing what map author have free hands to create like he want(ofcourse if not insult people with hes signature)

I almost forget most importan thing, these is a flag of mine country, and these is 1 of reason why i want to keep these signature in these look.

I don't see any reason why qwert should change his signature for this map.

I agree.

My sig does not go with any of the maps I have done.

A map maker may choose to "blend" their sig into the style of the map or they may choose to keep it consistent across all of their works.

It seems qwert and I prefer the 2nd option.

Qwert, do you think you could supply us with the large and small images with the XML on them?

Also, could you provide text links to the large and small maps, and the XML?

Could you post images with the XML army coordinates in the circles, for both maps. Qwert?

"All in page 1"
I hope that you been in page 1?
You know i create these way of work to people dont ask me "where is latest version of map" so i all work put in page 1.

I'm with Andy here, can we just have them on the last page as well? That first post is a mess and it would be much simpler to just have them for quick and easy reference.

There's the same pixelated border issue here that was present in the Eastern Front map. Perhaps use a blur again to try and solve that problem. Apart from that, everything else is looking really nice.

"Pixelated border issue" You are first who say that border is pixelated.I created border to be simle as can be.

that appears to be qwerts style, I say we learn to live with it.

I will erase all images and left only images with and without Army shadows.(i realy dont understand how 6-7 images can create a mess, and only two images have army numbers)

I just noticed something about the legend and I can't seem to find anything about it. It has two colors for the background. The top and majority of the middle is colored like the paper and the sides and bottom are light purple.

It almost looks like you forgot to fill in the rest of the legend. Or maybe I am just missing something.

I agree with Keyogi on this one. Everyone else gets asked to fix pixely borders and make to overall map "cleaner". You can't just say it is a style so I don't need to do it.

Especially since this map is supposed to be an actual map based off of real life, it should be the last "style" that would allow pixeled borders.

the borders are 1px in some places which doesnt leave any room for anti-aliasing. anyways these borders are fine and anyone that has a problem with them is being anal.

I agree with this stance.

Regardless of your opinion of me mibi it is still an issue that has been raised in the past and been addressed when needed.

qwert, I'm referring to your territory borders, the continent ones seem to be ok. Remember the blur you did to the borders in Eastern Front? Could you do that again for your territory borders in this map.

i see no issue........1 person is having a issue with it and thats you keyogi...I like the borders how they are....

We could vote on it but you know you will lose

If qwert could do similar to what he did on his previous map, I think it would be top notch. :)

KEYOGI wrote:Regardless of your opinion of me mibi

I'm tired of this 'everyone picks on me defense' so many people use. I've seen everyone do it, I maybe have even done it, but it is really glaring when a moderator does it. mibi & I don't see this problem that you do, it doesn't have anything to do with anything else. I call out this behavior every time I see it, regardless of who it is, as qwert, dim, cairns, humley, and even mibi can attest. I will continue to do so.

However, since Andy also sees the problem, and Widow Makers can see the problem, I'm sure it exists. Any argument that Keyogi is the only one who sees the problem isn't realistic. Andy says qwert has fixed it before, but I think he needed red circles to show him where to apply the effect. Could one of you that sees the problem help him by pointing these areas of pixelation out graphically? Visual aids are very very helpful.

So, I spot what I consider to be an obvious flaw in the map and leave constructive feedback. If it's not bad enough we have cartographers slinging slurs around, we have other members pitching in as well. Giving feedback is not being anal and I fear for the future of the Map Foundry if it continues down this shakey path.

Keep personal vendettas and sly remarks out of the foundry. Nobody's crying "poor me" so go to the Flame Wars if you want to take digs at people.
