Re: Football (real)
If any of you guys want to do a head-to-head fantasy Premier League with me and some other CCers, check this topic. We still need a few more teams to get the league started for Matchday 1.

No, but I'll look for it.
Would have loved to see him stay at Barça, but it's probably for the best.
At least he didn't go to Real.

The fact that Villa scored against Barcelona at all is pretty awesome because he wasn't appreciated by their fans when he played for them.

For The national team, which is more of a team, perhaps, but certainly not for Barca. I have never heard his name being chanted or songs being sung about him at a Barcelona game. Most Barcelona fans think of Barcelona as being one hero and his two side-kicks, completely neglecting the rest of the team. Real Madrid is similar. I can't see why class footballers would want to play for either teams.

What did everyone think of yesterday's game? I was very pleased with United's performance. Rooney and Jones stood out to me as being especially good and Iwas surprised by how little I saw of Hazard and Lampard.

Re: Football (real)
if villa a hero, there are 1500 more heroes in football history anyone can bring up down here.
if we have villa be hero, then how do you define brazil former national ronaldo ? a super/mega hero ?

Re: Football (real)
Well villa won more things with his national team than ronaldo. And i m talking spainwise. "Villa maravilla!". Unfortunately he was injured a lot lately so you might have forgotten how big he was a few years back. Man united here said that villa was not apreciated by the barcelona fans; yes that s total bs. He just didn t get a lot of opportunities last year when he came back from his injury.
And yes, what did raul win with spain? Nothing! Villa was a big part of the "gazpacho mecanico" team and he is the greatest scorer of the national team of all times, so yes in spain he s a hero.
Regarding man united vs chelsea just watched very little and got bored, started watching something else as i already watched football on sunday (psg vs nantes).

Game bored me shitless. De Gea did pretty well as did John Terry.

Re: Football (real)
barca coach tata spoke to press telling real madrid's upcoming purchace for bale for 100million is a shame once considered the problems in economy spain suffering atm.
coach of real madrid ancelotti replied as, tata should see it things, how teams are managed in europe and latin america are different, also he should mind to see 57million neymar before speaking about bale's move.

Re: Football (real)
It s like real madrid fans telling that psg, monaco, city, chelsea ect destroy the market lol. You re like, so what is it exactly you ve been doing for the past 70 seasons?
But yeah, at that price it s really not a bad deal for the spurs. Funny move by chelsea recruiting willian when he was supposed to go to the liliwhites.
Lots of things will happen in the next few days before the market closes!

I've heard that was Mourinho trying to prevent Madrid from getting Bale - in which case I'm all for it.

So you would spend 35 millions for that? If there is any side story, it s abramovic and ismael whatever (anzhi president) s side deals for real life business.

Re: Football (real)
Holy shit! Arsenal marseille dortmund napoli! Are you freaking kidding me?? So no chance for my team to even finish third...!

Re: Football (real)
Eventhough Ajax isn't really "my team", I'll just note that they don't stand a chance in the Barcelona, AC Milan, Celtic group. They might finish third, but I'm not that sure of it. Ajax is doing great in Holland, but I guess that says a lot more about our Eredivisie than it says about Ajax.

Seriously HA, you think that galatasaray can finish first in that group?
It would be a miracle to finish second!
