I bet six minutes seems much longer when you're watching nothing happen in your speed game, than if you're trying to get your dog locked up, so you can get a package off the steps without him bolting for the delivery guy.

Not saying there is a reason beyond selfishness for more than a very few deadbeat games.

Just that your six minutes waiting to ride the bike seems way longer than my six minutes riding the bike.

The loss rate is a little over 20 per day. That makes it roughly 650 per month. It means CC will run out of users in about six months, i.e., at the end of this year!! Crap

Update of data from https://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewt ... 2#p5102102

Looking through this thread at the approximate numbers as close as possible to May 20 over the last few years:
2012: 15,200
2013: 13,300
2014: 11,500
2015: 8900
2016: 7400
2017: 6100
2018: 5600
2019: 5000
2020: 12300
2021: 5800
2022: 4900
2023: 4300

So it looks like Covid managed to give us a 3-year reprieve in the decline, but it appears we've now returned to the pre-Covid trend.

If the original trend continued we would be about 3200 +/- I think, so still a bit bouyed by the Covid #’s but yeah it’s back to roughly 10% loss per year

If you want evidence that the site is very very weak in its;
presentation,
rules, set up,
dice algorithm,
drop per game type,
refusal to improve maps,
rude behavior,
very poor beta
lack of development
and just dont give a f@#k
etc etc etc

Then all you need to look at are these COVID figures
2019: 5000
2020: 12300 Beginning of the evidence. World goes online and finds CC (far, far below what it should have been)
2021: 5800 World gets frustrated by all of the above and finds a better alternative!
2022: 4900 Even the die-hards start to realize they are barking up the wrong tree etc, etc, etc

Come on Big Wham. Stop sulking, moping, doing whatever you do instead of running this site and either sell it or wake up!

I dont know the numbers on Hasbros risk site/app. But I do know it is way way higher than this site, in the tens of thousands more.

It really is a massive pity. A case of the symptoms of the world we live in. CC has the fundamentals to be a vastly superior site to the rest due to inherent factors created by the founders and held together by a die hard community that has lost its way due to the floundering of its current weak owner.

The maps dynamics are great. The structure of the format is workable and there a massive market both lost, (we hope Big Wham at least had the foresight to keep their contact details) and the new market.

Every time I sign onto CC I cant help but feel that great tragedy has befallen a fantastic opportunity.
And there is no doubt in my mind that this loss falls on Big Wham and even King Achilles as the responsible parties.

Honestly, sell it before it really is worthless and economists at this scale can put it in their studies of how to f@#k up a good deal.

1) Is Wham open to an offer?
2) Unrealistic expectations also kill things off. I have often seen a thing of diminishing value fall to worthless as owners cant adjust or accept the reality of the situation.

Both Hasbro and CC have serious problems with dice algorithm. I have played Risk for over 40 years. The dice rolls here are not statistically possible.

If you're interested in other board games besides risk, check out Board Game Arena. The site is basically everything this one isn't.

The developers seem active and prepared to make changes when prompted by the users. Not immediately, because it's largely volunteer so they have their hands full. But they at least recognize issues and claim to be working on them unlike setting up a suggestion forum and then completely ignoring it.

They have a large and active community. For instance, I'm relatively new and just joined my first Wingspan tourney. It was for 128 players and filled up within days. And this is one of about a dozen or more tourneys just for that game that are about to or just started. All large, all filled.

They have 3 month leagues for each game where you move up or down based on the quality of the opponent you beat or lost to. In the wingspan league alone, there's about 2600 players. There are likely 100s if not 1000s more who just play non-league games.

And they have a ton of different games. Including many iconic ones. I haven't even scratched the surface because I'm hell-bent on winning the Wingspan league.
