Does the lack of discussion on this thread as of late indicate that most of the nit-picking details have been worked out, or is it a sign that the discussion at an impasse?

Well, it can mean either but in this case its because L.P. is busy most of the time so he only get little time to work on the map.

spiesr wrote:Can you adjust it so you can better tell which bonus region iles da la m whatever is part of? It is small and almost completelly covered by the army circle so you cant see what color it is.
Also the water is knid of too dark and the map looks really boring...

I have no problem with the dark water. But I looked at the first post and came to this page just to mention Iles de la Madeleine. I didn't even see any land at all. In the end, I could spot some light blue in there. But it should be made more clear.
Btw, Lone.prophet, nobody said it's brown. It's just not very visible. You seem to get irritated easily.

Ok guys, lets round up a list for L.P. so get in here and tell me all that needs done so I can PM it to him to get it done so we can finaly play this map.

-List for L.P_
1. Title
2. Re-draw Baie-James so that it connects with Mauricie (and separates Saguenay from Abitibi)
3. Change Nova Scotia to N.S. & P.E.I.
4. Move Iles de la Madeleine's army circle to the side to see it better

I don't think that 6 for sud du quebec is too much, it has eight territories (almost twice as many as the duplessis, and it has 5 borders). If anything is off, Duplessis should be worth 4 or even 5 instead of 3 (it does border every other continent after all), and perhaps the great north should be worth 4 as well (it has 4 borders, and 4 territories and compared to nova scotia's and est du quebec's 4 territories and and 3 borders. That being said, if implementing these sort of changes with result in a loss of stamps, or a significantly longer wait time for the map to be quenched, I could live with the bonuses as they stand, and any balance issues could be resolved while the map is in beta, no?

I've seen the map, Gilles. Obviously. I just didn't get your post. Maybe cause it's not a sentence. You may wanna use more words when trying to make a point.

Don't know if it is too late for this or not, but I would suggest moving the link between Gros Morne and Quebec and make it Gros Morne and Goose Bay (Labrador) as it is Newfoundland and Labrador and it makes sense for the connection to be there rather than Newfoundland and Quebec.
I am serious...and don't call me Shirley.

This change won't result in a major impact on gameplay, so it's up to the mapmakers.

Unit_2, can we get a status update on this project? I'm trying to keep our Forge clean and I can't have you leaving maps just lying around. :)

Small map army coordinates look good. A couple of the large map coordinates look a bit high: Montreal and... damn, I thought I'd see two. Ile de mad needs to be moved to the left.

i hate to bring this up so late, but I bet somebody will think that Montreal is Laurentides because of where the circles and territory names are.

Let's put a stamp on this one and get it out to play!

if those are the current coordinates represented in that image, some still look off... Ile de Mad. on both, Montreal on large map.

how are players supposed to know what continent Ile de Mad belongs?

I'd say that circle needs to be moved on both maps to show the colour of the island a bit more...

Unit_2 wrote:Ok guys, lets round up a list for L.P. so get in here and tell me all that needs done so I can PM it to him to get it done so we can finaly play this map.

-List for L.P_
1. Title
2. Re-draw Baie-James so that it connects with Mauricie (and separates Saguenay from Abitibi)
3. Change Nova Scotia to N.S. & P.E.I.
4. Move Iles de la Madeleine's army circle to the side to see it better

i agree that +6 bonus for sud du quebec is not too much.
BrendanGillis wrote:I don't think that 6 for sud du quebec is too much, it has eight territories (almost twice as many as the duplessis, and it has 5 borders).

Yeah, that's a problem... why not put the army circle and count above the territory name? That way the island will be totally visible.

There are outstanding concerns:
1. It is impossible to see the region color of Ile de Mad. through the army circle.
2. Some army coordinates are still off.
3. Laurentides and Montreal army circles are poorly placed and could be confusing to players.
4. An XML check is required.

I know guys, It only needs those last things Oaktown pointed out, but I can't find L.P. anywhere.

If anyone wants to help I might be able to get the Layered Image from L.P. But until then I guess its on hold.
