Better then I expected to see from the name, but it could still use a lot of work. Mostly the text is hard to read. Also the Citadel looks ugly and out of place.

first of all-*takes a deep breath* This is the first time in a while that someone on there first map has made a well thought out map-not using MS paint-and didnt just post a pic and say well-what do you think

-good start however even if you want the citidel to be very important it just cant be 5. Its only one territory so either change the bonus or change the citidel to several territorys. If you want to keep it as one territory-with the new xml changes you can make sure it starts out as neutral

-graphics need work I cant read someof the things and its all a little blury

-I forget now that Ive been typing for 5 minutes but did you make the ring 1 way. If so take the one way out. Its too much like circus maximus and no one likes that map.

-whats with the theme..block world? what is that? did you just want to put a bunch of shapes down or is this an actuall thing. I guess it could be kept like this but I thought I should say something about that


-anyway keep going looks pretty good

I think it is okay to have 1 territory be worth 5, but it would have to have 33 other territories touching it.

Or you could look at it as (34 - (touching continents)) territories touching it. Regardless I doubt something like that could or would be happening on this map.

The most you could make the citadel be worth right now is 1 extra without a bunch of people getting on your case about it.

Are those changes actually in right now or were they lack just showing what they could look like?

in my Star Wars map thread i had a idea just come to me and I wanted to post it so as I wouldnt forget it lol.

I have always though it to be cool to have a Wal-Martish map with all kinds of different departments which would be the different territories and you would have sub territories in those. For example you would have 6-8 different departments. some common ones are
(TOYS,CLOTHING,GARDENING,FOOD AREA,ELECTRONICS,SPORTING GOODS,AUTOMOTIVE)

and then you could have the BLUE LIGHT SPECIAL in the middle of the map that would be for the biggest points due to how hard it would be to hold it.

there is a tad bit more info in the STAR WARS MAP thread.

please tell me what you think about this idea. think sort of the Senate map but much bigger and much more fun and creative.

This sounds like a really good idea. i would like to see an image up soon... Wow... first time I given a map other then GlobalWarming my backing on the post... this feels strange...

I dont know but either way by the time this map is ready for play it will have been put in

I would love to play Pangea, (i tried to make it also: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=18233), but i agree that it should be different from Classic, maybe try to make the map from a different angle, like the south pole or something.

1. It's an octagon.

2. It's an octagonal block.

Anyway, I'm on the fence about this map now, but the updates people have suggested will definitely improve it.

A really long while back I started making this map and I noticed it again while I was poking around on my computer so I figured I would try and finish it.

I know there are lots of things to fix graphics wise; I just want advice about continent makeup and such. Also do people think I should add some more countries in New Jersey where the key is right now? There's a fair amount of space for it, and I think it might make things a little more interesting.

I think the layout of the map is excellent. Some of the bonuses don't seem to work out.

Particularly, The Bronx.

With the Bronx, If you hold it, all you have to do is take Harlem and East Harlem, and you only have 2 border countries. I'd suggest knocking this down a bit, like a 4.

i also like it, but i agree with you that the graphics need a total revamp

First of all i think you REALLY need to work on the graphics. the lines and the arrows are really unattractive, but i know this is your first version. secondly, like everyone else says, the names are really hard to read. speaking of names, what is with them? the names should be related to the theme, but these are like...i don't even know...greek names?
I don't care what theme you pick, you should just stick with it

On the citadel thing, this is my idea, because you clearly want it to be important, i think you should do this, i drew a quick sketch

the 2 antechambers can either be part of the citadel, or 2 neutral countries.

if you don't like this idea, i think you should follow what dominationnation said, make it neutral for the first turn, and have it worth just 2 or 3
