I believe I represent the more rational population. That being said, you're totally wrong here my man. CNN, MSNB, the New York Times, the Washington Post, etc. are just as politically motivated and corporate motivated (for lack of a better phrase) than Fox is. You just happen to think Fox is bunk because you don't agree with them (which is fine).

This is why when you point out that Fox is "run" by "corporate interests" and the Republican Party, I laughed hysterically. Because, while that may be true, there is no media organization in the United States that is not, in fact, "run" by "corporate interests" and at least one or more of the political parties. Simply put, you're either extremely naive or extremely partisan (I suspect the latter).

I personally find PBS to do a decent job of just the facts. Besides government-supported news, agreed on there being no non-corporate cable news, and such. The main difference I find with Fox, though, is that while you'll always find bias in editorial content (for what it's worth, I loathe Olbermann as much as O'Reilly. They're really the same person), Fox is the main network where the actual news reporting and (more importantly) deeming what is newsworthy seems as slanted. For instance, Fox breathlessly reported on the Tea Party marchers, while a gay rights march with the exact number of marchers went completely un-reported on (that was from the Daily Show although I'm pretty sure it's true)

The problem with little know-it-alls like you is that you want to paint BHO as some kind of savior - ignoring the facts that- A) His voting record in Congress consisted mainly of voting "present" rather than committing to any true decisions. B) He was involved in more scandals BEFORE being elected than the last 5 presidents combined. C) He not only attended a church that - in their own doctrine - pledges allegiance to the continent of Africa, but was also married and children Baptised by arguably one of the biggest racist on the planet, Jeremiah Wright. D) His involvement in Acorn - another racist organization - benefited his election with the votes of thousands of illegals who have no right to even cast a vote... The list goes on and on, but, by all means, go right ahead and continue to pretend that Obama is some kind of Godsend - it demonstrates who the real "moron" is.

I know the first part is technically a straw-man argument, but this last chunk takes the cake. If I didn't know better, I'd say you were trying to create the world's most flammable army here.

I'll also say this - I personally think Fox is the worst of the bunch (MSNBC is a close second). I think in order to gain a full appreciation of the news, one should read, listen to, or watch as diverse a collection of news as possible. I don't think I'm a good example of this, by any means, but I try.

I believe the US dollar is going through some deflation.

Which is a symptom of insufficient money supply , doesn't exactly tally with the accusation of billions of dollars being circulated for no good reason.

I would like to wait a few more months before I declare the stimulus and associated programs/policies successful (or failures).

That is a wise policy , my point at this time is that we have not seen the wild inflation that some claimed would be the inevitable result of these actions.

We have also not seen an increase in jobs (in fact, there has been a decrease... which is understandable). It's just too soon to tell. Regardless, I'm starting to think the economy will turn around soon, and when it does I'm 100% certain that the stimulus and bailout supporters will point to those programs as the reason. Even then it will be too hard to tell what exactly affected the economy in a positive way (private efforts or public efforts).
