There is a suggestion around here somewhere for teams to be able to join in any slot, which would allow for teammates to join the proper team (Team 1, Team 2, Team 3, etc) without having to wait for the other team to show up.
I'm pretty sure it is on the to-do list as the TDs have been begging for it for a long time.

perhaps another option would be to have the game creator able to reserve the slots for specific players.
Either way, thanks for the info.

That would be quite nice actually.

By the way, I think it rocks the way you turn in to a big ass truck!

I also believe that "Make a Private game Public" is also on the to-do list (in addition to the reserved slot).

well... that would almost be the same thing.
you could make the game private until you had the players you wanted, them make it public.

Instead of starting what may be a redundant thread, has it been discussed to INVITE players to the game. SO if I set up a doubles, as a public game, I could send "INVITE" to my partner, the 2nd slot would be held for him and only him, until he accepted or declined. Meawhile team 2 could fill in. If declined, I would get a message, and the game would simply be a public game. (Of course, I would probably drop it).

This sounds like a great suggestion, any indication when it will become a reality.

I am excited for it to become real but can you specify where it would say it and who would have the power to do it...

As only premium members can make private games, I'm assuming it will be a premium only feature
I'm assuming it would only be the creator of the game that could make it go public.

I urge you to move this up in priority on your to-do list! I think it will really open up the team games to a lot of people who haven't played them much.

Bump. What's the hold up with this one? It is a definite winner.

Now I think I'd rather implement some sort of reserve seat feature instead of this one.
It would be more useful and versatile, don't you think?

Perfect for team games. Then we would not have to scramble to all be online at the same time / get in the games.

I think that turning private games public would make more sense. Perhaps someone was trying to fill a private speed game, and couldn't find quite enough people online at the time. They could then turn the game public, and it would still play, rather than having it sit waiting until everyone drops it.

Way better for team games. You can give out the password to people one at a time, then make the game public (remove the password) once your team has joined. Very useful feature!

You know what's even better? Both.

** This basic idea of letting your buddies in first then letting in others has been explained/proposed in probably a half dozen different ways.
Please start with the simplest option you can find. Give it a trial period, then reevaluate. **

Maybe not in this thread.

But, there are several versions of this idea floating out there, and it's already actually hit the infamous "To-Do List"!
