we're at no lynch -1, so think carefully before this gets hammered: Is this the best option?

There is always the possibility an anti-town faction or role is aware of their role... and therefor will kill us,recruit us, etc. The logical thing to do then is go for a lynch off of normal scum tells.
But there's just as much chance that everyone who forgot their role is one big mafia trying to pick off a survivor.(I can't even begin to guess, so whatever.)

I'd say yes, because the mafia probably has amnesia too.

And also, I can't make it on the computer for a couple of days.

And we'd most likely lynch a townie anyway. Also, when night starts everyone should pm the mod to protect someone just in case they're the doctor. Unless it's against the rules for a vanilla townie to pm the mod at night. Is it?

If I'm right about how things work here, the best we can do is PM the mod on someone we target, and not be able to specify whether its a kill, RB, protect or investigate.

Yes, that would probably be a good idea, especially since he hasn't declared night yet.

Actually, he's probably right about this not being the only twist. Otherwise, he could just call it 'No-role mafia 2'.

He also said he 'wanted to try something out'. So we can expect something reasonably fresh.
