A round robin would take about thirty five years...Put it this way, if you lose your 1st match then you won't be the 1st Heavyweight Champion....You may be eligible for a shot down the line, no problem, but you WILL NOT be the 1st champ. Simply, if there's currently 20 teams playing ten games..then the ten winners will make up the initial top ten ranking...IF more join, more have a chance to play.
Bear in my mind, I fully expect no shows..(Please hendy show up) And I will still let other people in the initial tourney up to 16 teams.(Mathematically sound!) By Oct.1 or 16 teams, the elimination tourney is a closed book. Bear in mind, however, this will be an on-going league.Just because someone loses doesn't mean they aren't able to get a re-match.
As well, I keep in mind those teams that lose an extremely hard-fought, close game as opposed to teams that are taken out easily in three turns.(Yes, the dice are a factor. There is a certain skill to this though!)

It should be noted that there have been changes to the initial fight schedule. This is to accomodate those who may be late or non-premies who are stuck in their max games. It's all done for continuity, folks. We want a championship team sometime this current millenium.
I should note that 9 of the current matches are underway and their is blood being spilled. Check out games 71681,71682,71683,71685,71686,71687,71702,71703,71691 if you want to keep tabs.(Perhaps a little scouting there, nudge-nudge, wink-wink!)
These eliminators are considered "10 rounders". Thus, if a "fight" goes 10 rounds or more it is a decision, more than 15 is a split decision, and anything under 10 is a KO!
Just to give us that boxing feel! As well, any teams that are prone to early Ko's on a consistent basis will obviously not fare very well in the standings!
The team of Evilclown/Reverend Kyle shredded the defence of battlmstr/Michelle and promptly Ko'd them in the 5th round. The wily veterans become the 1st team to advance in this heavyweight elimination tourney and, to be quite frank, have deservedly risen to the ranks of "favourites".
Let's see if the dynamic duo can enjoy the same modicom of success in the next round. Either way, they're on their way...
Meanwhile, battlmstr has been seen consulting with Maurice Clarett for advice...
6 seems to be the lucky number(or unlucky for some) thus far in the elimination tournament. Three matches have been decided by 6th round KO's.
Stevegriffiths23/bretzsky ko'd Clapper011/Gilligan
Captkillroy/maniacmath17 ko'd Rebecca Gavin/Sublime731
AkIceman/areyouincahoots/ ko'd D.Islerealbrown/A Man's part
All three victors were very impressive in their performances and all three of the vanquished ..well..weren't.
By the time I'm finish writing this there will probably be more results!
And yes, there are more results! Ronaldinho/Scorba dismantled the team of IT3USN/Bighab in 7 rounds. They'll now enjoy a short break(1 pint max!) before they face their foes Evilclown/Reverend Kyle in the next segment. Seriously, who do you like?
It was so close to decision time but osujacket/blitzaholic stomped on the dreams of Lord_Bailey/Sid Viscous(That's the way it's spelled) with a late KO in the 10th round. They're next opponents are AK Iceman/areyouincahoots! Another beauty match-up!

I set you up with the irrepressible Gav...No relation to Gav88111 or Gavin Sidhu...or Rebecca Gavin....or Gavin Macleod..distant cousin of Darrin McGavin, apparently.
Actually, Gav, you will be Angry Anderson's partner.
