I find suicide to be a cowardly and stupid thing to do, but the manliest way to do it would definitely be Sepuku. Nothing manlier than ritual disembowelment.

I heard in Japan, for many types of suicides they consider it so dishonorable that they don't even have a funeral service, however jumping in front of a train is considered honorable enough for a funeral

Seppuku upon the death of ones master was the main way for a retainer to retain his honor. It was by no means cowardly.

this is pretty good method, all in the name of science. some guy got a revolver once and shot himself in the arm, then did it again to see if it hurt more the second time. he died before he could tell anybody or write the conclusion down!

ok, but i don't consider it to be a willing act of self-termination.samurai only made harakiri when facing certain death by overpowering enemy to avoid torture and humiliation. it's ok then but nowaday there's no need for that, it's the thing of the past.one can always do more by living then by dying.
