Spoiler

just a reminder, sunday i will call the games. the process will be as follows.

3 points for each color still in game.
.5 points for each territory held.
if there is a tie, it will go to the person that took the first tert.

it will be late evening cst. when i look at the games. i'll be using the last full turn that has completed. meaning that each player would have gotten the same amount of turns at the time when i look.

just to be clear, that means if round 8 ends, and 2 players have taken the turn into round 9, those two turns will not be considered regardless of what has happened. the tally would be taken at the time when round 8 has ended. this is to make sure that each color has had the same amount of turns. the best way to remedy this if you're against it, is to finish the game. :)

i mean i would prefer that happen, but i don't want to sit here for another 3 weeks waiting for 2 games to finish.

anyways, after logging some 200+ games, we're about to move forward. good luck to those that will advance. =D>

ok, games have been resolved by the aformentioned method.

Game 23961299 juke wins. logged at end of round 10. (only game that wasn't out of hand)
Game 23973126 zabeast wins. (this one was pretty clear)
Game 23973119 juke wins. (also pretty one sided)
Game 23973125 b00060 wins. (this was a clear win)
Game 23961292 youonkazoo wins. (another no contest)
Game 23973113 actoft wins. (same scenario as previous 4)

so things didn't really change much with these games being resolved prematurely.

scoreboard will be updated, along with bracket games sent. keep in mind, #1 seed will wait for wildcard winner

congrats to everyone,
Thank you for hosting William.

I am fairly surprised I was able to win this tournament because my results in the initial group stage were average. I think I won barely more than 50% of those games, but when the knockouts came i won 80%. I attribute that mostly to getting hot at the right time, and a little to becoming more comfortable with the settings.

It was good going beyond my comfort zone a bit and trying some new maps. In particular, I like the chaos of middle ages, its balanced start and the vulnerability of every position. I could see that being a good option for a simple single elim tournament....

yes sir, my pleasure. i remember reading a chat early on from you about how you hate foggy. still pulled through tho.

and yeah, middle ages is a great map. i play with unlimited spoils, but that wouldn't make for a good tournament i think. it's usually over by second turn with unlimited. lots of detailed planning tho.
