I like the wii most. If you like graphics over gameplay, go to Microsoft or Sony, but if you just want a fun game, Nintendo has got it right. Besides, it's not like the Wii has horrible graphics. They're not good compared with Ps3 or 360, but it's still at least 2.5 times as powerful as Gamecube. Maybe I just grew up with certain series and like them enough to continue, but I think that the games nintendo has trademarked are worth the mere $ 250 console. And wii does have games for pretty much everybody. Not only is Brawl coming out December 3rd, but Live 08 in October, which I can't wait for. Nintendo has a uniqueness that the others don't have. That's why I voted for wii.

to be honest $250 is pretty cheap for a console..i don't know about the ps1 or any console older than that, but i know when the ps2 first came out it was $300..then the price is now officially $180. i think the lowest the ps3 will ever go is probably $300, and that's sort of pushing it.

You're joking, right? If you figure out how to jump, they're not hard at all. And you jump with 3 different buttons.

Mario, is, however topped by Zelda. Best series ever, hands down. I went out of my way to beat Twilight Princess (I had to borrow my friend's Wii).

I've never played the PS3 or the 360, actually I HAVE played them (but for only a few seconds at stores).

What I'm saying is, there are 3 Wii games coming out this year ALONE that many a gamer are wanting:

Metroid Prime 3 - Expecting the title of the greatest FPS on a console.

Super Mario Galaxy - Originally supposed to be easy, Miamoto told the designers to make it hard. Seriously, look up videos of the game, and tell me whether or not you want it.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Nuff said.

As well as several other titles.

One thing that Xbox has going for it would be it's online capabillities. Nintendo kinda sucks at good online. But PS3? $600 on graphics alone? I think Sony may have screwed up on that part. Sure, graphics, although they don't make a game, are good, but $600? That's a rip-off...

What about Super Paper MArio, pretty awesome game.

Guitar Hero is being released for all systems this time. Also, my view of the PS2 is a little unsatisfactory, as I got screwed over with a crappy lens for reading the discs.

YES! YAY! The one game I'd want for other systems comes to Wii. :D
pancakemix wrote:IMO, the Wii s the best. I haven't been around here lately, and that's because I'm addicted to the Virtual Console. I'm anxiously awaiting Monday at noon when I can download the new releases. Sick, I know, but classic games are my thing.

Classic games are cool, but some of them, I'd either have the remakes or rather play the orinigal, but I want Kirby Super STar to come out for it soon.

ok, i'll give you super smash brothers brawl..but Metroid being the greatest FPS for console? no f'in way. there's Halo and Call of Duty, that take the cake as the best FPS's ever made. i have never liked the mario games, and i think making new ones in 3D and whatnot is like making PacMan in 3D.
Really, best console FPS, at least regarding controls. But that's just a prediction, we'll see when it comes out.

As for Mario, it's not like Pacman in 3d. Super Mario Bros (considered by some as the greatest game of all time, as it brought video games back from the dark ages) was the first smooth side-scrolling platformer, and Super Mario 64 was the first 3d platformer, the first 3d console game, and has been widely regarded as one of the greatest games of all time (Halo also being one of them, but that's beside the point). Galaxy is expected to the true sequal to Super Mario 64 after Sunshine's failure.

The games that are out for Wii right now I'm not so interested in. But it just came out, give it time. Same goes for PS3, but it's very expensive to work on such a system.

Shadow I think you're wrong. I think SM64 wasn't the first 3d platformer, but the first great 3d platformer.

The rest is too also. :D

ACtually I think MArio is better then Zelda. Zelda gets kinda boring.

Frontline was pretty good, but the terrible AI and unbalanced game in your favor (health packs decorate the map) in rising sun ruined it for me. basically this is the easiest way to distinguish- in MoH you have no allies, but you yourself can take 20 hits or more..in CoD you can only take a few and then the health packs come in handy.

FIRST PLAYER SHOOTERS SUCK!

The correct term is FIRST-PERSON SHOOTERS you bubble-head. And they don't suck at all, I rather like Timesplitters, Resistance and the upcoming Haze.

fircoal, as a fellow nintendrone, I respect your opinion, but you gotta know when to stop preaching close-mindedly... you saying that FPS's suck is not only false and close-minded, but also betraying Nintendo by saying that the new Metroid Prime games suck

now to anyone siding with PS3, it costs almost $1000 for Sony to make just one, and now they decreased the price by $100, so I know Sony will be going in the red someday soon. So far Resistance is the only truly great sony game, and almost ALL the anticipated games for it will not be exclusive, bwahaha

to anyone siding with 360, true that microsoft is probly gonna be on top this year, but notice your horrible performance at E3, you guys spent a long time bragging about how great you'll be on a powerpoint... now look at E3 last year, Sony said the same stuff, and look where they are now

I absolutely love Timesplitters 3: Future Perfect. The map editor (probably the most intuitive that I've used) gives it endless replay value. I still play it quite often (3 roommates + 3 Xboxes + Xlink = superb multiplayer fun :D )

I was one of the few to vote for the original Xbox BTW.

Zelda getting old? I love turning into a wolf and mauling Moblins. That sort of thing should bring joy to all. Are you just mad because you can't beat it?

@Fircoal: Look it up, SM64 was the first 3d platformer. All other 3d platformers copied its style.

@Pancake: Zelda games rock, I'm getting Phantom Hourglass as soon as it comes out :D Also, on the list of the greatest games of all time, SMB was first, LOZ: Ocarina of Time was second. :)

@Hitman: Every system I ever bought besides the Wii costed $150...

-----------------------------

I myself think that, constant error messages aside, the 360 is actually a good system. But I think that Sony went a little overboard in graphics for the PS3... WAY overboard...

I don't know, I've never really got into FPS, Just my opinion. Metriod is probably good. At least Samus is okay in SSBM :D

And what do you mean by close minded. They're just not the games, I like.

no, if I get stuck I look it up because I get too lazy to figure it out, also it does get boring.

Edit: Also, I never said Zelda sucks, it's a good game, I just got bored of TP after the first level, and then the second one.

traitor. (jk) The 360 is good for the gamers that like to play those type of games. But it doesn't have any games for me. ;)
