Yes [player]barterer2002[/player], I intend to update the standings roughly once a day during the week (probably not on weekends). Basically I'll run through the games that have finished since my last refresh and update the standings based on that. I have a tab on my spreadsheet for playoff seedings once we get closer to the end of the season and races start to be determined.
I actually meant one that the rest of us can see it too

Kotaro 6 out of 16 (37.5%)
slats789 4 out of 11 (36.37%)
frank_tank 3 out of 9 (33.33%)

Sorry folks, looks like there is some desire to see the standings posted here in the thread so I can start doing that. I may do that around once a week so everyone can get a gauge for where they stand.

OK everyone, there is not a direct link in the original post for this topic that directs you to the most up to date standings. I have been typically running through these on a daily basis to clear out the games that have completed. I have also added a screenshot of the standings that I will be updating on a weekly basis for those who don't want to check every day, but still want to be able to see where they stand against the competition. The standings are sorted strictly on win % at the moment, so that is why some people with much higher win totals appear farther down the standings within a division.
I hope everyone is having fun with this tournament. I am looking into the feasibility of running a full season tournament next year, assuming baseball gets back to normal (or even if it doesn't maybe). Any suggestions on improvements for the next iteration are always welcome.

I think there was one where I created an extra game but deleted it. You should be good now.

We are currently looking for one replacement player for this tournament. Please message me if you are interested.
**UPDATE**
The open positions has been filled. However, please let me know if you would like to be on the list as a reserve in case there are any more players who have to leave the tournament for whatever reason.

Got another Q:
Is this tournament following the 2020 MLB format? (16 teams advancing to playoffs) Or the old one? (8 teams)
Edit: just saw it's the old one with 8 teams.

Just wanted to provide a quick update on the status of the tournament. After being on vacation last week, I sent out the Week 7 games yesterday afternoon and the Week 8 games just a bit ago today. Next week is our All-Star Break and as such, there will be no new regular season games. Hopefully this will allow a good portion of the current games to finish before we head into the second half of the season the first week of September.
I looked at my spreadsheet and so far 383 games are complete out of a total 1050 or just shy of 36.5%. There are currently 177 games in progress (including the invites sent out today).
Thanks again for everyone's great participation and accepting invites quickly to keep these games moving. While we are on a week break, I will be working on the playoff portion of the spreadsheet so we can start seeing what the pennant races look like coming out of the break.
I am also working on some more sports tournaments like this one and the ones I did for the NHL and NBA earlier this summer as we go into the next seasons. Be on the lookout for those as soon as we get official schedules for those leagues.

Yes, that is correct. Just the nature of the randomized schedule. I looked ahead and it looks like week 10 might be similarly busy for you, but the rest should be fairly balanced. One of the improvements I want to make next time I run this tournament. Thanks for checking.

Just a reminder to everyone playing that there will be no new games this week. I will resume sending games with Week 9 next Monday. Enjoy the mid-season break and hopefully we can finish up some older games. Right now there are 89 remaining active games.

After the week off, we were able to get all but 30 of the first 560 games completed. I just sent out the games for Week 9. My spreadsheet has been updated with the playoffs tab and I'll start posting pennant races here as well, probably in the original post along with the standings. Time to get your wins in now to make your run for the playoffs!

I once again have a need to fill a spot in my MLB league tournament in order to finish out the season. The current open team is the Cleveland Indians (current record 15-19 and 7.5 games back in the AL Central). There are 36 games remaining for this team to play in the tournament before the playoffs. Map to be covered is Germany with the following settings: Standard, Auto, Sequential, No Spoils, Chained, Fog, No Trench, No round limit. If interested, please message me directly or post a reply here.

Yup, you are correct, I went through and created the games last night and will be assigning opponents today.
There is still one open slot in the tournament and potentially one more based on some missed invites. Please let your friends know so we can finish out this tournament and have all games completed!!!

After holding out hope for two replacement players to fill the currently vacant spots, I have decided that we will be finishing this tournament without those two players and they will be forfeiting all remaining games. I have already updated those results in the standings tables I will be posting today in the original post. I will also be sending out week 12 games today to get these last few weeks going and figure out the playoff seedings.
