Update

Post by patt »

ok heres some changes. im still not sure how many bonus armies one should get for holding each region... im thinking a bonus for Hamilton, Franklin, and Cuyahoga, seeing as they have the major cities in ohio.

add impassable borders otherwise the gameplay will be crap.

i'm not familiar with the geography of ohio but i think there are some rivers, lakes or mountains around that you can use as impasable borders.

PM Samus and ask him where he would put impassible borders. Otherwise this is like Super Indochina, which I don't think anybody wants.

looking at an ohio ma i saw there are no mountains and big rivers are also scarce. maybe think about blowing appart the different zones and do a USA style map with artifficial connections. this would be the ony solution.

Yes...please be sure to add the world famous Ohio Mountains. The Licking Mountains I believe they are called.

Just asking because I'd like to see more real world maps.

Small Map:

Large Map:

Total Countries: 39

I used a combination of several different maps, especially the maps in the books, I own all 7 and they all contain maps. Here are links to the ones I used online.

I'm glad to see someone else attempting Narnia.

First thing you need to do is either add 3 more territories or lose 3. While I realise this is only your first draft, it would be nice if you could try and capture the feel of Narnia. I think it's important that it's recognizable and doesn't just look like another map. Perhaps images of the Witch's Castle, Cair Paravel, the lamp post, etc.

You'd struggle to fit army circles into some of the territories. Possibly even most of the territories.

I'm using Microsoft Digital Image Pro 7.0
The program was really cheap, and it's not too bad. i have had a few issues, like the white dots in archenland and calormen...i have no idea why those are there or how to fix them, lol, and resizing images is kind of odd.

Why do I need to have +3 or -3 countries? does it matter the number?
And I was thinking of having all the castle on the board (Witch's Castle, Harfang, Miraz Castle, Cair Paravel, Anvard and Tashbaan) and have them be a bonus if you own all of them.
I'll see what images I can find and add them, thanks :D

xsnlrocks21x wrote:Why do I need to have +3 or -3 countries?

To reduce the amount of neutral territories on the board.

36 gives:
3 x 12
4 x 9
5 x 7 + 1 neutral
6 x 6

42 gives:
3 x 15 + 1 neutral
4 x 10 + 2 neutral
5 x 8 + 2 neutral
6 x 7

Ah, I see, I'll probably add 3 countries then

Why is it that whenever you write somethings on the club forum you never have anything nice to say? Telling me that this map "sucks" does not help, if you don't like it, either say why or ways to improve it. Otherwise keep your mouth shut.

Because I'm general negative. I'm Jamie's protogee.
