The reason I wanted the joke phase to continue is see who votes someone high up in the draft list, however End and Streaker have ruined that. Unlike most games we have the knowledge that most likely the stronger roles are near the top of the list. Sausage is draft pick no.8 and the highest draft pick to receive votes.

I agree with Mets that Sausages voting is outright weird with a tendency towards scummy. However, I would say that Ptlowes is even odder. At 2:31 GMT he confirms, and then 50 minutes later votes Sausage for voting Streaker which he wasnt even doing anymore. My gut says hes fabricating a reason, and it also doesnt feel like a true joke vote with both Dakky and AoG voting streaker before him, even more so with AoG votes being sandwiched between Pt's confirm and vote sausage.

Game on.

My point was to get this past a full page of jokevotes.
Reason being that town doesnt have the oppourtunity to joke around for 25 percent of day one.
Scum might kill each other but odds are much better multiple townies die tonight.
Scum only have a 3/13 chance of hitting the other scum or SK opposed to 10/13 chance of hitting town.
Wing the problem with reading the draft to equal roles is its a double edged sword. The higher drafted players are the more powerful scum as well.

I wouldn't make too much out of these early votes or Endgame's early post, but appreciate those trying to get the ball rolling.

And I can't tell if Mets is serious or not with is vote. Joke voting the mod = scum. Seriously?

so home from work now and i say we vote dakky just because hes a bully that made me die in my 1st game but then im not shure maybe vote endgame or pt because they was correct of me in my 2nd game but let me live:) so all in all can i vote dakky endgame and pt in 1 single post?? if not then i make my final joke vote of saying unvote all above vote sausage because he almsot made me die in the last game but saved me

I'm not sure whether I should hope mafia are near the top and so will kill each other, or to hope town is so if they survive they can help a lot. Unlike some choose your own mafia's, we can't use the draft order as any kind of hint, since everyone picked their numbers before the factions were handed out.

I have always been a little fuzzy on what the joke vote stage accomplishes, other than it is a starting point. I suppose it can be used to figure out who is willing to post, but often it comes down to who wants to get past the stage and how they go about it. It does seem a little odd that he talks like there is no time, but I don't fault anyone for trying to find a way past the joke vote stage, especially knowing that it will put them at risk themself.

@tim, not really sure how I almost got you killed, but it worked out no?

@WCG, I think you are reading too much into joke votes, or were at least planning to. I know that I don't put any game thought (Except not piling too much on one person) into who I joke vote for, but I suppose I cannot speak for everyone. It is interesting however that no one above me had a joke vote at that point considering that I am smack in the middle of the order.

Finally, not really sure how joke voting for the mod is any different than joke voting for anyone else.

At this stage the same could be said for anyone who is pushing Endgame -- the best argument against Endgame is that he's overly paranoid, not overly scummy, and stretching this into a non-town-alignment is itself possibly trying too hard to act townie.

so your asking endgame about why he wants to get rid of the joke vote stage yet your saying my own joke vote is a unjust joke vote sounds to me like your doing the same exact thing

I know Dazza's got stuff going on right now, but he should get in here and at least check in.

I'm always a fan of pressuring the quiet ones on D1 but understand sometimes people are plain inactive.

Haven't seen anything that's tripped my scumdar yet. Just the usual struggle between people wanting to joke v. get serious.
