With only one game (Game 12638399) left, the picture of who's moving on to the second round is becoming clearer. Eight players (allinpoker1980, mr_chopper, Dillybarr, EagleofGreenErth, iAmCaffeine, Puddleglum, azak848, and myself) have clinched second round berths. Seven players (Sempaispellcheck, P4Ssoa, overlander, Gilligan, Gundula, thelord, & Theldin) have been eliminated - thanks for playing. Six of the remaining ten players are participating in the final game of the round, and thus control their own destinies.

Judging by the territory count, the last game of Round 1 (Game 12638399) should be wrapping up shortly. It's highly likely there will be a tiebreaker game following that game.

Additionally, an apology- it seems I had made an error when copying potential scores (I was looking at the wrong column, if it matters). The error seems only to have affected that final game. I've double checked the other scores, and everything else seems correct. The standings and potential scores in the 2nd post are correct as they stand.

The first round is nearly complete. The last regular match of the round finished yesterday, but a 3-way tie among Ceetar, Osman76, & nicestash for the last spot in Round 2 needs to be adjudicated. Invitations have already been sent out for a single game (Game 12852470) to break the tie. Winner moves on to the second round, the others do not.

Round 1 is now complete! osman76 won the tiebreaker and joins the 2nd round.

I'll be sending out invitations for Round 2 soon, likely with in the next 12 hours.

So my 12 hour estimate was a little off, but Round 2 invitations have been sent out. I probably won't have the scoreboard for Round 2 up this weekend, but should have it by the end of Monday (CC Time).

Don't forget to pay attention to the settings!

There is only one game that features all the players in this round, a 7 player terminator affair. This is most likely the most important game, because it represents 37% - 39% of all your potential points for this round. If you win this game and are the one to knock out all the other players, you'll get 10.25 points. It would be difficult (but not impossible) for anyone to catch you if manage this feat.

While it's still technically anyone's game, it's clear iAmCaffeine got hosed by being paired with waauw in 2 doubles games & his sporadic splaying.
