Huh. I seem to win an awful lot of games when Clapper's my doubles partner.
There are a whole lot of player (Clapper, Glide, KoolBak, and the illustrious Wicked) that come to mind whose ranks don't always match their skills. I know Glide plays a lot of real time and that's murder on rank...but he's out for fun and the kill.
I've got my Colonel's hat, but I don't think bossing someone around because they're of lesser rank is fitting at all. Rank is only one means of identifying skill. Once you play some games with a particular player you can make your own decisions about them.
Just my $.02 (and probably a rehash, but there were more pages than my attention span is good for after the day I had at work).

I killed Wicked once and it made me feel happy and warm inside.

He's played 15 games.
....And?
I did word that statement poorly, I will say that. Damn work and not being able to re-read before I post. It wasn't meant to insult, or convey that I had more experience then I do, if thats the way it came off; sorry.

Not sure why anyone cares how someone achieves a good rank. If it's through doubles then it must indicate they are good in doubles. My rank isn't good but probably 95% of the games I play are with other Colonels and Majors. When I win a game, it's not a lot of points but the same thing applies when I lose. If you are above 2500 points, let alone 3000+, I think it's a great achievement because it is extremely difficult to maintain those points once you reach the top of the point system. When you talk about those guys who play dubs against noobs or lower ranks, they are 'risking' their points more so than the Colonels who will only play high ranks in singles games, like myself and 30 other players I know. They win 11 points and could potentially lose 45+. So I say more power to them- I only wish I were that good.
