Re: Last Man Standing [FULL]
Well it's not too late, but like I stated in the first post, the last 2 players will have to be reserves.
Signups are now closed, and we're ready to go!

Re: Last Man Standing [FULL]
Update
Players have been divided into 2 groups of 22 players each. As such, the first wave of games for the round will showcase four 8-player games, and two 6-player games.
Players have been randomly arranged and assigned to games, which will be created and sent out once I get the tournament privileges (: Good luck!

Re: Last Man Standing [Round 1 Wave 1 - Updated 11 Jul' 11]
Update
Had to do some minor shuffling in the groupings, exchanged 3 players from the teams.
Please do NOT reject the invite or drop the game for any reason whatsoever. By doing that, you screw up the ENTIRE order of alternating players from opposing teams for that game, and I'd end up having to remake the entire game.
This is what happened recently, but I'm not bothering about it as much as the teams are currently randomly assigned, so it doesn't matter.

Re: Last Man Standing [Round 1 Wave 2 - Updated 26 Jul' 11]
Update
Round 1 Wave 1 was a rather one-sided affair, as Team B received a heavy beating from Team A, being whittled down from 22 players to having 5 remaining.
They'll now attempt to work their way up, facing the lower ranked players of Team A in an attempt to equal up the numbers.
Also, I must admit that I didn't forsee things going the way they currently are. Perhaps using Fog settings instead would make things slightly better, and more interesting?

Oh, here's a question:
How do secret diplomacy rules apply to a tournament such as this? We aren't strictly on a team, the only thing it really affects is if a death eliminates a player (i.e. we still get points from our teammates demise).
I assume they still apply normally (i.e. everything in chat), but some confirmation would be appreciated.

Re: Last Man Standing [Round 1 Wave 4 - Updated 11 Aug '11]
Update
Wave 4 of Round 1 is now underway. The 2 remaining players on Team B are holding strong. The odds are against them, but there's a slim possibility that they can pull off a miracle run all the way till the end.

Update
Round 1 Wave 6 is beginning. Last 2 players from Team B are still holding out. If they both still survive the next game, a new map may be chosen for the match subsequent, as they're getting too used to the map, having an unfair advantage.

Re: Last Man Standing [Round 2 Wave 1 - Updated 7 Sep '11]
Update
Due to the need for the requirement for the winner of the tournament to have played at least 3 games, I didn't want to risk there being a winner having played only 2 games, which could have happened.
Anyway, to prevent that, and to give everyone a chance to get back into the game, Round 2 has begun, with the 8 surviving players of Team A along with the 2 from Team B.

Update
With only 2 players left in Group D, darkbluesky and Theldin move on into the finals. The finals will be a best of 3 1v1 on Ireland. Whoever wins 2 games will be the Last Man Standing!
