sorry for this taking so long, discovered that I'd dyslexified the size of the gif in the xml assistant, so all the coordinates are a little bit out...
Also didn't realise that the numbers wouldn't be correspondingly smaller on the small map, so I've got to make all the stations extra-large for that one.
Soon, though!

This looks absolutely fantastic and can't wait to give it a go.
Do you think it would be worth giving the bigger grouped adjacent stations (i.e King's Cross, Euston, Green Park, Waterloo, Baker St and Bank) a bonus of 1 or 2 points, given that it may prove very difficult to hold a line?

it's an idea...
it might just be that you have to use different tactics and build more slowly...
It's not the sort of map I can print out and test, what with there not really being anywhere to put the armies! Not unless I stacked my little wooden cubes on top of each other. Be tricky if anyone ever got a set!

This map reminds me of the boardgame Scotland Yard.
Side question: Aren't the yellow armies going to be hard to read with that solid white background? Perhaps the circles will be tinted a bit?

but if I tinted the circles it would look less like the underground map...
I've been busy with the kids for the summer holidays, but I'll probably finish this off in the next couple of weeks
thanks for all the encouraging words

Although tinted cirlces would make it less realistic, I would prefer to read the number and have an unrealistic map. Planning my strategy shouldn't hurt my eyes.

circles wont need to be tinted.. we have more of golden armies anyways.

Dude!! That's pretty awesome. I would love to play that one when it comes online. It actually gave me an idea for another map that I can make, too. The poll's probbably going to be called something along the lines of "flying map" when I can make it.

I hate this map only because it reminds me of SEPTA and all it's shortcomings.

What an utterly bizzare and brilliant idea!
But why is the circle line only one direction when in real life you can go either way on it?

If by "away," you mean on a transcontinental journey in which he does not have access to a computer, I would agree.

nope, just away as in away with the family, the church, the job and sometimes the fairies...
in other words lots of 'irl'
oh, that bit about 'in the next couple of weeks', that was a total lie, sorry
