In Flames are from sweeden (gothenburg to be more specific), thats all i care about.

and the english cant beat there football team

couldnt find anything else to show it as clearly... theres one somewhere with the Union flag instead of the stars and stripes, which in my opinion looks better... but i think the design of it difffers aswell

lol...it's a figure of speech in the US meaning "nearby" or "in range"...not to be taken literally as "town". The same could be used in New York, even though it is not a town either.
