Though, is there no connection between Alaska and Kamchatka? If not, that's great, I love it. Antarctica is the only trans-continental route to go which makes it unique enough to be a fun map.
Correct - Alaska and Kamchatka do not border each other.

I've made some further changes and will upload a new image later...
I've added my name to the corner
nudged a few names around
renamed Papua New Guinea /PNG --> New Guinea / NG
renamed Saudi Arabia / SA --> Middle East / ME
re-labeled N.Zealand --> New Zealand
I was contemplating making Siberia + Kamchatka a new bonus zone, but don't think it would work very well.
How far off are gameplay and graphics stamps? :-p

Hi MrBenn!
I love this map and I'm glad it's back on the conveyor belt. This will be a fun map to play for sure. Just one tiny thing that took me a second to figure out and that was the connection from Iberia to Canada - it wasn't totally clear to me at a glance

What do you think?

Me too!
I've also just re-read my post above, it isn't clear. I mean that I feel the Iberia-Canada connection could look like it is an Iberia-U.S. and could have a bit more definition, for clarity's sake.

MrBenn, moved you to the main foundry as you already had the drafting dot. I will look at you later as you seem pretty good and should get GP very quickly.

Yeah - I need to decide if there's enough room to move the line to the other side of Newfoundland, or whether I need to scrub out the island. Hopefully there's space for the former...

Did you decide if you are going to make the small 400px wide? Either way is fine with me.

My vote would be to do this.

The 400px small is a whole lot easier on these old eyes!

Although it's much easier to read the frostbite thing on the 300px map

MrBenn, right now I have one problem with game play and it is a very easy thing to fix.
On the small map you have NG, whilst on the large one you have written New Guinea. Both of these need to be the same so either New Guinea on the small or NG on the large. You have room on the large map to put a notation for the abbreviation.
Another way to solve this and maybe far better is to call that region Papua. Same with Maghreb and West Africa.
Either way, keep the 400 pixel version over the 300 and fix the lettering for the frostbite. Once done, I will get you stamped.

Cool map!
Any reason for the Mahgreb-W. Africa name change in the large to small versions? Might be confusing for attacking purposes...
Or is the large map not being used at all?

The labels don't need to be the same on both versions of the map - that can be clarified with XML territory labels such as "New Guinea (NG)", "Middle East (ME)" etc. Wherever possible I want to use full names; obviously the size restriction of the small map at 300px made that difficult; hopefully there will be a little more flexibility enlarging it to 400px - which it seems like most people would prefer. From now, the small map will be the 400px version

Thanks! They're not supposed to be named different - I must have changed it at some point and only changed one of them! Which would people prefer?

That's really easy to do - I have no idea why it's different in both versions - all I did was resized the map and turned different layers on/off... Oh yes, the pixel font has to be 8pts to look right, so I probably caught the frostbite text layer in the same group when I fixed it.. Anyways, I'll make sure I do it right next time

Is there any point to -1 on Getz and Wilkes if they don't border anything? If you have the bonus, there is going to be 1s on it anyway.

It'll make it slightly harder to get from the start (almost like a tiny dustbowl). Long-term you're right, and the decay will only really affect the stackability of Enderby.

Also assuming that they start neutral?

Not necessarily... discuss!
