I think that from now on, my response to "gl" will be "qwert hates you."
=D>
yes ,these is great, ofcourse when i play then this will be mine answer to GL and GG.
or you can say " i hope that you will get dices like qwert"

I think that from now on, my response to "gl" will be "qwert hates you and wants your lower limbs to snap like twigs."

to long to write ,and i will need to use transator to understand first what these mean.

What he is saying, is that you're a little like this fella:
show

I like 'I hope that you will get dices like qwert.' I think I'm going to use this in a game I am currently in.

Oh my that is so funny. It's "break a leg" and it means, "May your performance be so good you will be asked to take a bow." Because the borrect way to "bow" to the auidence is to "break" your leg.

Somehow I don't think I have ever played a game here where I got a standing ovation, much less to take a bow; I just don't want the 50 man army that I just got from the cards fall to two units and a mule.

Personally i don't realy see how typing two letters into the game chat makes you a paragon of politeness and those who remain silent rude barbarians. I take absolutely no offense if someone fails to say "gl" nor do I feel as though they have done some sort of positive thing if they do. Am I supposed to feel somehow honored that they deigned to type two letters?

Whether I participate in game chat or not depends allot on my mood. If I'm feeling chatty I'll chat, or if I feel like engaging in some diplomatic wranglings. What I do find bothersome is when people fail to reply to direct questions in game chat.

Being polite isn't really about the amount of effort you put in it. It's the thought that counts.

why does anyone bother saying good luck? it's no more than a token gesture ingrained into the minds of sheep because they think it's the right thing to do. nobody actually means it.

I meant it once. Back in '06 I think.

My logic is if both of you say good luck it cancels out the luck advantage you gave to your opponent so you have "equal luck". If your opponent doesn't say it back then I guess they have an edge, but if you beat them you can feel all warm and fuzzy inside like you do when you renew your membership that you beat someone with a verbal luck advantage. That and maybe karma for at least not even trying to fake being nice by saying good luck may have something to do with it. ;)

But if you have the same exact thought in every single game, it pretty much counts for nothing.

sane people wouldn't hope their opponents gl... so when you say it, you are likely either insane or hypocrite.. your choice

actually i don't believe in luck that much.. i give it 5%... i bet 99.99% of players blame their dice even when they make a dumb mistake... :|

luck is still part of this game though :geek:

i find people saying g.l.
to be very insincere, thats why i wont do it, but i do say hello, hello, and thanks 4 playing,
happy to chat mid game, but few others seem to. always nice to have a little banter.

I wonder what the stats are for games with real conversation vs games with little to no conversation---what the percentages are...
