I got my first round invite, but the system isn't allowing me to join because I'm not premium. I thought that freemiums could join as well?

I was one of the last to join the reserves, I got an invite so I'm assuming not a lot of people showed up, but I'm a freemie. That's a shame.

Well that bites. What is the reason why it wasn't set up so that freemiums could play?
I was wondering if something was up because earlier today, I couldn't play in any other speed game even though freemiums are supposed to, per this post

jesus christ are you guys that retarded, THERE ARE DIFFERENT TIME ZONES. However, you are BOTH wrong, CC uses Central time. So it is past 12 noon, but it is NOT 1:30 for CC, it is 12:30
edit- and it's at 12 midnight, not 12 noon, so the point is moot
and out of the 30 participants, 7 are premium
