Flex, quick question, but I take it that army accumulation caps after 12 rounds as well? Is it the same case for the power plays? But you can still pick up the extra shot bonus and what not for winning after 12?

Sounds good.... I tried doing the math for my match with Amazony (which if the first set of games is any indication will be a 7 game war.) but am not sure if I did it right. I'll be cheering on Portland tonight with ya Flex, Roy is a warrior! As far as hockey goes, Hallack is playing like a man possessed tonight.

Most of the Game 1s are finished...bracket and results are updated (see the top three posts in the thread). Game 2s will be going out before I hit the sack.

OK...I juggled things a bit...the bracket and the current batch of Game boxscores are in the opening post...in the second post you'll find a game-by-game score recap for each series.

Game 1s are complete -- One major note...I criss-crossed numbers when adding the Boston-Buffalo score and had to make a correction...the final score for that one has changed to 4-3 Buffalo (see boxscore).
A few of the Game 2s have gone final with Montreal winning 5-3 to take a 2-0 series lead over Washington. Check out the updated boxscores in the top post. Games only show a final score when all five maps have been finished.
Game 3s will go out Thursday morning/afternoon.
Good luck all, the chase for the Cup is on!!!
PS -- My apologies to Boston for the mix-up...I should have caught that before posting.

I'm confused. I can accept that Boston lost the first game but I don't understand why. Boston won the actual games played 3 - 2 over Buffalo

It all comes down to how the matchups come out...a great save % can overcome a load of shots (that's what happened in this case)...like in the real NHL, a hot goalie can save a team. In adding up scores so far, that Save % map seems to carry a bit more weight (which is by design).
Win four of the five maps and it would be near impossible to lose the game...but if it's a 3/2 split the game could go either way depending on a bunch of factors...save %, # of power plays, etc.
Again, sorry for the confusion on that one.
