This may be true, but as a 20 programmer mostly within the Microsoft environment, I can assure you that as soon as FireFox gets popular, Microsoft will put some sort of bug in some important system that will cause FireFox to seem like the buggy one; but they'll be nothing FireFox or the user will be able to do about it. Those nasty MS people.

I've already found that some of the options pages for Hotmail "aren't compatible" with Firefox. I'd switch to Gmail if it weren't such a huge hassle.

Possible Minor Change - My Games Check

Lack-

 I think that a great idea for a minor change would be to have a number in parenthesis next to the "My Games" Link indicating how many games you have to take your turn in . I don't check my email often and it would be nice to have a quick check to see if you can play that moment. It's like the inbox works, if you have messages, it says how many. If you click the number next to My games, I think that it should only take you to the games that you can play in.

New PM-like notifier for games

Suggestion Idea: A small notifier on the "My Games" button when your turn comes up.

Specifics: Something like:[2 turns]

Why it is needed: Just to get people to take their turns before doing everything else and forgetting.

Priority: 1-1.5

ah now i know why. if you are in a rt game, those things only update once every 10 minutes or so. if you want to explore the forums while you wait for your turn, you can.

Alternate "my games" button action

Have the My Games button change when you have a turn ready to play

Perhaps, like the Inbox icon have a [1 New Turn] appear.

This would allow, when accessing the forums to be able to spot when your turn is at hand.

Really?

Sorry if it has, I skimmed the 'To-Do List' and couldn't find it.

Different variation, same general idea. Lack is working on making the games in which you have turns easier to find. I think he's doing it by allowing one to reorganize the "My Games" list to show games with your turns in it. Although I'd be more happy with this, since it would save a click of the mouse and I have no problem looking through my games for a turn if I know it's there.

# of active games on the Game Menu

by Inhuman14
Suggestion Idea: Place an indicator of how many games that you have that require attention next to the My Games tab on the Game Menu.

Specifics: This would put the number of games that require your attention on the Game Menu next to the My Games tab.

For example, if I had 13 games and 4 that it was my turn on:

Game Menu
My Games (4)
Join A Game

etc.

Why it is needed: I know that many people on the Forum are frustrated by the inability to check to see how many games they have active without opening a second window and refreshing it. This owuld solve that problem.

If you want it now, there's a notifier in the plugins subforum called Tell Me When. It'll tell you how many games you have waiting, plus it can make noises for you when a turn comes up.

hmm, cool, I'll look into it.

Highlight "My Games" when you can play (Like Inbox

by Twill
* Suggestion Idea: Highlight "My Games" when you can play (Like Inbox)

* Specifics: When there is a game which you can play in your "My Games" page, highlight the "My Games" link in the menu with the number of games waiting for your attention.
This would look and act much like the Inbox which notifies you when you have messages waiting by highlighting in blue.

* Why it is needed: It's not. But it be an easy nice touch for those of us in the forum so we know when it's our turn, even if we aren't watching the page.

* Priority: Low low low.

Where's the 'yes' button? Where's the poll? Polls are where it's at.
