Foundry Beta Brand. Let it be known that this map is now ready for
BETA Play. After an extended period of time in
BETA and once all quirks and issues have been resolved, the map will be put into
Full Play (barring any Lack vetoes).

I think I can speak on Nem's behalf here as well when I say:
Thanks to everyone who's contributed to this map with comments and suggestions.
Special thanks go to Ender for sticking with us the whole way through this! Your comments and suggestions have really pushed us and we valued your input into this map. Thanks again!
We also need to thank Samuel for making a few modifications to the map that made the whole thing much clearer, we really turned a corner when we got your draft back and that helped spur us on to improve further.
Now all we gotta do is get this through BETA and it can be live.

My sentiments exactly! Watching this process has taught me a lot that I can use if I ever get a map idea out of my head and onto paper. Or should I say onto a hard drive?

I see what the problem is
it is to do with the XML update of Dec 30

In my opinion, you should have stuck with the water texture of version 10.0
I do agree that the earlier versions looked a little to faded, besides that, I love this map. I hope it appears as a Beta map soon, because I really want to try it.
I do not think it would make much of a difference, but how about adding small little temple pictures in the Temple Territories? Not many people would notice them (depending on their sizes) but I think it would be pretty neat.

I liked that sea texture too, took me bloody ages to do
although I think the one there now, fits the overall feel of the map more.

I did look at temples for a bit but it looked rubbish, they didn't even make it to a postable version

Premier2k mentioned in gamechat that you are planning to start all docks neutral. This would lead to an 11 terit drop in 4p games, correct? That would be more balanced than the existing 13 terit start.

As long as the number of starting terrs remains a "golden number", it shouldn;t be a problem either way.
Are the docks being seen as a potential issue?

The docks aren't an issue, just the fact that you start with 13. However you get it down to 11 would be good, right now there's too much of a first-turn advantage. In my sole Atlantis game so far (
Game 6454753), my partner had fantastic dice and knocked the next guy down to 10, since then we've been firmly in control.

There is a def advantage dropping the docks. I'm going to make a small modification over the weekend and start them as neutral. I'll post the link when I'm done.

I really thought Euclid was a port... Can we perhaps move that sentence elsewhere to avoid confusion?

Well, there was quite a lot of work done on the legend, but this is what Beta is for. Swapping the boat and port statments would likely fix this.
