Yeah, I'm a noob. This is my first time playing mafia online.
If people seem to want me to add to the discussion, FOS Rainbow, though that's mostly OMGUS stuff. Whatever. I have a good feeling about spiesr, but who knows what that means. Mostly because of how he talked about 3rd party survivor in earlier posts, I think he's the same thing I am. Generally, at least. I'm Owen Lars, which he probably isn't.
Digging back to Day 2, I found this post. Probably not actionable news, but it's interesting what he says.
First, claim with no pressure. Why would you claim vanilla townie with no pressure?
Second, conflicting claim. First, he says third party, then says he's imperial citizen, then name drops owen lars. Also, a survivor claim.
Now, with Owen Lars, I could see this as being a third-party survivor role. All the same, I suggest whatever investigative roles we have left to check him out tonight. Just to be sure.

Wolverine actually hasn't posted much at all in this game and to top it off he hasn't done or said anything important from what I can see in the backlogs.
Think we should be safe rather than sorry and get rid of the potential submariner?
I don't want to lynch someone without them having the opportunity to defend themselves. However, I also don't want anyone to get a free ride to the next round just because they don't have computer access for a few days...

Yeah it's a difficult decision. I brought it up but I don't want to vote for someone when they will not have a chance to defend themselves. That just seems like a path for all sorts of things to go wrong. More of an FOS than anything.

I don't think I have to worry about this as this is an obvious situation where the person shouldn't be picked as a replacement but just to note. if Colton gets picked as the replacement, I'm quitting.

Yeah colton, you have exclusive information from being a cop. No way you can replace, you know too much.

Ditto for his posting of relevant information on a wall and PM's after death.

I'll need a bit of time to read up. I did occasionally take a look at what was going on here, but I didn't meticulously follow the whole game. When I come back, I'll try to say something sensible

I guess I did jump to conclusions about who was being replaced there...anyways welcome aboard Koesen.

I haven't really read up yet, since I have work to do, but to start of with a minor, quick contribution, I would put a FOS on those who suggested that Colton was killed by anybody other than the Empire itself. The scene seemed quite clear to me and I am inclined to think misinterpretation of it has more to do with a desire to send people in the wrong direction than with an honest mistake.
Having said that, let me immediately point out that this is something that occurred to me when I took a quick look at this game before I replaced and that I haven't really followed what happened since and what happened before. If all people who suggested a scum or third party kill have been cleared by other research, then obviously my FOS would be misplaced.
More to come later, but I have to get back to my work and then I have to actually read the whole game thread instead of merely vaguely recalling the two pages I looked at a week or so ago

Oh, yes, almost forgot. I am at a loss to explain why my predecessor suggested there is no town doc in this game. In a game this size, that would be unusual if not unique.

One more thing:
Having quickly gone over the last few pages, I am inclined to believe that both LSU and Ga7 belong to the Empire.
LSU, based on my old experience with him, simply doesn't come over as scummy to me, and though he might have modified his playing style since I was last active, I used to think I was pretty good at reading him when he was scum. In fact, I think that in all games in which he was scum, I quickly got into heated debates with him that usually got both of us killed

Again, rereading the whole thread might cause me to change my opinion, but my first rough gut analysis says he's in the clear.
I feel more or less the same about Ga7, though I find him harder to read. I disagree with his statement that a town doc would simply always counter a fake doc claim, since I myself would have to think twice about that, but other than that his reasoning doesn't look terribly scummy to me.
I have no or virtually no experience with most of the other players, so I'll need to reread more carefully before I say anything substantial about them.
At this point, my main mystery is why my predecessor played the way he played. The joys of replacing...

Since it has been pointed out to me that the deadline is very near, let me make one final point, just in case I haven't got the time to read and process everything before nightfall.
With the early death of the Rebel recruiter, and looking at the casualties, I'm fairly sure there's only one rebel left, and that would have to be Luke Skywalker.
More rebels would, when combined with a recruiter, be hugely unbalancing in my opinion.
I suspect Skywalker is a Godfather with a nightkill and immunity against cop investigations, although he might be vulnerable to other investigative roles. As a jedi, I worry that he may be capable of Jedi mind tricks, which might for example mess with investigation results, but I confess that at this point, that is speculation.
I also suspect he is laying low at the moment, hoping he will profit from the argument between RE and LSU/GA7.

Well, it appears that we will get a no lynch today judging by the upcoming deadline. On my mind heading into the night are:
1. Wolverine Mutant-quiet throughout the game no matter whether he's available or not.
2. cubfanpgh- I suggest an investigative role check him out to look at that confused claim of owen lars just to be safe.
Besides that, the only thing that arouses my suspicion was the "town have no doctors" thing, but that was not a major thing compared to the 2 people I mentioned above.

Some notes I took while reading Day One:
* Vodean votes somebody who suggests being part of the empire: major scum tell. Combined with the rest of his behaviour, he was by far the most suspicious person that day. Everyone who voted for him scores townie points, especially Ga7 for hammering. The fact that he turned out to be third party doesn't change that.
* LSU's fishing for a counter claim of Darth Bane looked slightly fishy at that stage, but apart from that he looks more town than scum.
* Safariguy looks generally protown.
* Duday didn't really contribute anything and merely seemed to fill space in order to look active. Slightly suspicious.
***
All of the above is based on Day One alone. If new evidence appeared later in the game to refute these impressions, I haven't read it yet.
Posting this just in case I die tonight in the hope that I can contribute at least a tiny little bit.

Duday has been having real life issues to attend to, so yes he's been mostly inactive.

Yes, that became clear as I read more. UNFOS Duday, for whatever that's worth.
I'm now up to page 23 or so, and I'm putting a FOS on UTAlan for stating that the bandwagon against AOG was more suspicious than AOG himself.

Nearly there. Does Wolverine Mutant have any excuse for his blatant submarining?
As for my predecessor: I see why his attack on LSU attracted suspicion and I frankly don't agree with it myself (in fact, I'm quite surprised he went down that lane), but doesn't the fact that he kept his vote on Wercool when Wercool gave him a perfectly acceptable excuse to unvote (with his doc claim) count for anything?
As I said before, the rebel numbers must be way down now. For rebels to knowingly betray each other at this point simply isn't worth it (or that's how I would think if I were a rebel).
For now, I mostly suspect Wolverine Mutant and UTAlan and I would recommend an investigation of them.

I agree, it's not what Wolverine Mutant is doing, it's what he's not doing. And what he's not doing is posting/voting/contributing. Investigate him and see what happens.

UTAlan wrote:It would only make sense for Colton to have been killed by the rebellion since the empire would have known he was imperial. I think it would make sense for the empire to not have a doctor since the game started with fewer rebels than empire.
Out of the remaining players, I haven't a clue which is rebel scum and needs to be lynched. :/
Unless I'm having a blackout, this statement is entirely nonsensical.
A) The Empire would NOT know Colton was imperial.
B) Town almost always has more people than scum and it almost always has a doctor.
Vote UTAlan though it won't make a difference.
