My apologies if someone has asked this before, but I did search first.
How do I turn off the colour in the action drop down menus? They look very harsh to me and the rainbow effect strains my eyes and gives me a headache.
And if there is no fix through the menu, can someone tell me which part of the code I need to delete, and how to delete it.
Love everything else though.
thanks,
PR

Ok, I edited the script in word and took out the part to do with the drop down menus. It seemed to do the trick.
Question: If I screwed up the program, can I just uninstall what I have and re-download and install greasemonkey (Bob)?

Yeah that'll work...
You get used to the DD colours... they are harsh - but you get used to them!!

Quick poll do I
A. Add an menu option to control this feature.
B. Look at changing the colours to be less harsh.
C. Both
D. Both with light and dark as options.
secondary question, do I also provide a menu option to control adding the number of armies in brackets to this list?
Your opinions count so please take a moment to let me know what you think.

A
I think both numbers and colours controlled with the same on/off toggle switch would be sufficient.

A), or maybe D) if it's not too much trouble.

Option E - Apply %age fade to Dropdowns from the map percentage fade.
C.

E.
but if you change the colours in the drop down, you should change them on the whole page (armies numbers on map, player names, statistics, ...) otherwise it would get confusing, me thinks.
numbers in brackets can rest where they are. they help to prevent missplacements and to find a certain country faster.

Just downloaded BOB.
It's great!
Thanks to everyone who put the sweat (and tears perhaps, hopefully not too much blood) into making this app so useful and cool to boot.
Great job!

Wow, this is amazing!!!!
The only thing I don't like is that it defaults to adding the colorblind feature. Is there a way to manually turn it off?
Edit: I found it. Great work!

Yes you should see a list of options below Personal Menu in game called BoB Menu. Just play with the buttons there to get rid of it.

In response to both the poll and the secondary question:
F. Leave it as it is.
Not trying to be clever. My genuine opinion.
I think the menu switchable feature set is pretty rich already. Surely there comes a point (and I think wanting to change the dropdown colours falls into this category) where if you really want to fine tune the script to your own liking then you should just edit the code. Otherwise the genuinely (or at least frequently) useful stuff is going to get lost in the clutter.
I too found the colours over the top to start with, but within a few days they look normal.
If any more menu items are added surely it should be for a new killer feature rather than just minor aesthetics (important as aesthetics are).
Just my 2 cents as they say in internet land.

Suggestion:
Map Inspect (MI) options changed from "On | Off" to "Above Map | Below Map | Off".
Not the 'killer feature' I mention above, but a useful tweak with no new menu options.
On certain maps, World 2.0, I can't see the top of the map and the MI bar at the same time and so can't use it to inspect all parts of the map. I'm guessing there are other maps affected similarly. [I'm using 1152 x 864 resolution which, whilst slightly quirky, isn't unusually small.]
I think perhaps this has been mentioned before.

A more complex/flexible solution would be to have some kind of dialogue box, probably a pop up like the Help/Info screen, which allowed the user to change the order of the various elements on the game screen. Again think I have seen this mentioned before.
The elements would be listed as below and their would be a move up / move down radio button. Having selected move up or move down clicking on the element would then move it accordingly.
_______________
Map
Game Type Info
Player Card Info
Card Set Info
Stats
Game Log
Game Chat
_______________
I guess it would then need its own option on the BOB menu - "Display Order".
I think this is about 6 cents worth.

Hi,
Uh, so I installed the script. Is there anyway we can *not* have the smiling monkey icon in the bottom right hand corner?
It bothers me

Nah, he has no control over that. Greasemonkey is an extension which allows his script to run. He doesn't control it.[/b]

Hi all
I can't figure out how to install the conquerclub-bob.1.2.user.js. I've got greasemonkey running and I right click it in the browser and select "manage user scripts" and I then try to drag and drop the script, but nothing happens.
Is this the wrong way of doing it or??
Please help. Can't seem to find any installation guide anywhere.
Kind regards,
BlueSkies

BlueSkies ... go to the
first page of this thread ... installation guide is there.
Basically, having already installed Greasemonkey, just (left) click on the link to the latest version of the script there (1.2 as you suggest) and you should find that you get a normal FF pop up allowing you to confirm the install.

I'm having problems on the new Circus Maximus using this script - the text map is nonexistent (not really an issue) and when I hover the cursor over the card, it doesn't put the neato square around the terit.

Is it just me, or did the script just completely stop working after I installed the FF 2.0.0.6 update?
