Hulmey they're not 100% concrete versions, just vote for the style you like best: Diffused borders, solid without black borders, solid with black borders...

They can be tweaked if enough people want it after the vote has finished.

Oh come on Hulmey don't be so difficult! :p

Option 1 is definitely the best by far! ;) It was an easy choice for me.

Here's my problem: I like option 1 for look/texture, but option 3 has the best border. Any way you could put a thin black border around option 1 instead of having it blend into the surrounding countries?

Vote for option three then... Afterwards I can tweak things for more/higher dunes etc. This is a more a poll about the borders of the desert.

At the moment we've got people saying the want the border back, others who love the diffused version (me included) and still others who don't like the diffused or the border (hence option 2). I'm trying to sort out the basic look, and then after the poll I'll raise / lower dunes and fiddle with colours until everyones content.

Whats a easy choice for u isnt a easy one for me Cassar

Coz then all the maps would look alike!!

Its a beautiful map but all the desert options seem to throw the prespective off. I would prefer to see maps there instead or Moutain looking dunes!

I am not sure why the eastern Chinese province of Fujian is constantly being spelled, "Fukien". Not only does this look somewhat profane, the latter spelling is based on a postal map romanization done back in 1906, based on obscure Chinese dialects. These spellings have since become out-dated and unused. If it is not too hard to change the text (I have never made a map so I would not know), I think many would appreciate it spelled, "Fujian".

Good point. Will change it in the next update. Thanks for you comment.

hulmey, are you thinking of a dune/mountain desert similar to what is on the Jewel of the Empire map? Here.

Obviously colours would need to change & the perspective but anyone could do that.

Not sure what you mean, gishman. Anyways, this is a very good map, Guiscard. Just two points: the Great Wall seems strange (position and the fact that it seems impossible to attack up from it) but I realize that if it were to be changed, playability would deteriorate. Also, I couldn't help but notice that you have 1644 posts, coinciding with the year that the great Ming Dynasty (the one that took over control of China after the Khan's Yuan Dynasty) fell.

Thanks. As for the great wall, it isn't 100% accurate in its placement but it is being used as an impassable barrier, not a one way, so it really is more of a game function than a true representation. I thought it better to include a genuine landmark then just make up a river or mountain range.
