Does it matter that this will go on for some time?
I've just finished round 9, in just a couple of days, so each round is fast.

But of course, if it drags on too long, it would be possible to base more rounds on random maps. That way those who are more alround would get the edge, I think.
I do prefer the current setup, though.

No it doesn't matter. I just like statistics. Random maps won't do anything.

As the number of people dwindle, the percentage may actually start dropping some as the people playing only as many games as it takes them to win one will likely be a comparatively larger fraction of the total number of games. Also, the rounds are becoming faster, so it will be harder to get in a full three games, if you are freemium and only reserve one slot for the tourney or for that matter use up the 4 slots between rounds and time one or two games to likely finish for the beginning of the next round.

I wouldnt be surprised if later rounds at least occasionally had below 80 % advancing.

Lets say 100 people played games. 50% win and advance. the other 50% battle it out so another 25% advance. then the last 25% battle it out and 12.5% advance. Witch gives a 87.5% advance.

Though that's only if everyone stopped playing a round after they won, obviously you can win and then go an lose against someone and help them advance, or win all your games an help knock players out.

No. You never have had to post this info. There was a brief period in the last round where HA thought it was necessary, but it turned out not to be.

On a related note, certainly thanks to all you who think you need to post that you've advanced, this thread is now the most replied to tournament thread of all time. And we're less than a quarter of the way through the tourney according to the estimates! Another record for the largest tourney in CC history. Go us!

It also has the greatest number of views, but that's been the case for a while.
