How do you mean,you want to put only people who get medal,or do you want to put map makers who work all job on creating a map?

well, what do you think? I am open to suggestions, but I do want to make a TOP 5 list for map makers to show appreciation to their work. if you know of the top 5 with the most work on maps, list their names and how many? and what do you think I should title it? Top 5 Map Makers?

Blitz I recently went and looked at the medals for a tournament. I don't have the exact numbers in front of my but will link to the players so you can check (also in case it changes)

I must say,that you must check very carefull who get medal for what.
Rule is that only 2 medal can be awarded for creating a map,but in some cases(i think that these is not right) 6 people get medal for creating a map(Classic Art). Who realy deserve medal for work on these map,its still mistery for many map makers,except for these 6 people who know exactly who work what.These is not correct,and i will not count these medals.
Also i think that you need to create new category-Top 5 XML Developers,because you now have in your list only people who not create any graphic on map,and work only in XML development(Yeti,C).These will be more correct.

I'm not sure you should split them out like this, as some mapmakers do their own XML...

And really---a number of the XML people listed actually had a lot of input in the development to some of their respective maps. Yeti is a good example of this---though he doesn't graphically contribute to many maps, he has been a leading designer and visionary for a number.

Widowmakers is on 20 medals. I do not think it is fair that qwert has 'decided' that those who made the classic shapes map don't get their medal counted. They put the work in and obviously admin decided they deserved it.

It seems like the fair and just solution is that if you earned a medal for graphics, gameplay, XML, or whatever in regards to a map, it should just count as a map contribution medal across the board. I say the best way to do it is to make your Top 5 list based on the total number of medals that person has, regardless of the reasoning behind why they got it in the first place. Map development incorporates many different aspects. With the graphic designer, it wouldn't look good, without the person to write the XML it wouldn't play at all because it literally wouldn't work.

Just my two cents.

Count the medals and go by that, don't make it overly complicated.
