Re: 'all new' intensity cubes complaints (merged)

Post by anomalystream »

Heres the scenario.

Im on the brink of destruction, but my opponent has worn himself down. Luckily I hold 2 uranium processing plants and a launch code. I get seven men to begin my turn, I have one man left in the USSR to launch an attack from, and maybe if I succeed and take a bunker MAYBE, I might survive the next turn.

I place my seven men on USSR Uranium processing plant 2 with cautious confidence. I attack....success, chicago is mine, seven men remain. All I must do now is take denver, and his bunker and seaborg and launch and a uranium processing plant are all in line.

I attack his one man in denver and he rolls 6, 6, 6, 6, 6 and another 6.

I might start playing the lottery if my good luck is as good as my bad is bad.

They will, eventually, reach 50-50, I believe, if things go like that for a while.

And it keeps getting worse! Shouldnt it be getting CLOSER to the expected, the more I roll?

Laughable!

No, it's more likely to get closer to the expected, the more you roll.

I recently had a game, In my first go I lost every army on the board, trying to get a card, ended up with 1 on each country, didn't manage to take one country off my opponent (I only killed 2 of his armies in total)

How can this be random.

This randomness or lack of is starting to ruin this game.

I have a feeling that if it were locked, then some people might get the wrong impression, and say to themselves, "Aha, the devs and mods don't want us talking about it because it is true, the dice are rigged!"

Ah, I've seen this kind of play before!

I deem it the 'I'm going to lose this game on round 1 just to prove the dice are shittier than a blocked third world latrine' strategy.

I've been having a combination of shit, shittier and just disgustingly dirty dice for about two weeks now. Know why it isn't driving me insane? 'Cause I play 8 man no cards and I make about 5 attacks a week.

Stop playing 1on 1's you poor deluded saps!!!

The other day I attacked a large stack of 50 with my little stack of 22 and I walked away advancing 8.... If everyone is complaining about the dice then is not everyone having the same poor luck and therefore are we all not in the same boat?

Are you talking to me, or the cubes? cause it's the cubes that are "feeding" the complaints. Well, actually, it's faulty perception of randomness that's feeding the complaints. Dear Lord! The trolls are feeding themselves!

For those of you who are still complaining about losing a lot of armies when attacking, check this out ;)

did you even read the game I posted? the game clearly shows that there's always the possibility of having very good dice for the attacker in any situation, which means it's random...

Im addicted to RISK, and the maps here are awesome. I think an idea that should be embraced is that this game doesnt have to be played only on maps. You could play on a paint by number picture if you really wanted too.

The difference is that in my case, mine are real data, and not aimed at making fun at anyone´s expenses. In your case, it is a lie, and a lack of consideration from your part, added to the fact it is a gratuitous attack. What entitle me to make some as well:

You dont like the complains? STFU, and go read other parts os the forums. I am sure there are plenty of places where the title is nbot "intensity cubes COMPLAINTS"

You dont like me? Well, know it is reciprocous and be happy. Oh, and STFU.

You dotn know what STFU means? Though luck, STFU and go look it up.

You dont want to take my advice and proceed that way? STFU, anyway.

Did I forgot anything? Oh, yes, get a life, STFU, STFU, and do it again, just to be sure you did it right.

STFU, and thanks for all the fish.
